Ellerslie International Hotel and Conference Centre

Stayed in a family room right next to the hotel gym which was good. Nice big bathroom, fairly up to date decor. There is only one door handle lock on the room door with no door-chain or peep hole which I thought might not be super secure or safe when answering the door. Easy access to freeway and close to lots of eating places Overall a good stay and would stay again.

Budget motel. Good for the price. The service was great. Location is great too.
The rooms are nice. I am used to hotels not motels but this is cosy.

The road noise was really bad, the room was actually not very well set up for accessibility.
There's a 10mm lip into the shower, and there's no curtain for the shower, so water goes over the whole bathroom. When I mentioned this, 2days later was told due to renovations they weren't put up. However the water logged door would suggest that's not correct.
The microwave was way too high, which then they moved into bench space when I asked.
The info in rooms for setting up TV/Sky are incorrect.
The heat pump stopped working, so they have me a coil heater, which took up floor space.
The internet failed a few times, was really bad and dropped out 5 time in 1hr on a Zoom call, but that's not really their fault.

Plus side.room was clean, serviced well, and staff were friendly.

Ensured a memorable stay alright.
Did receive an incorrect order at dinner. Staff pushed for the person next to me to eat it. Staff made it out to be a big deal to remake a $40 meal, sure, until all it was is a little piece of steak, some frozen boiled veges, a handful of chips. Would make do if we weren’t made out to be such an inconvenience, in an empty restaurant. No dessert apparently, ran out before customers came in and ate it.
Will check the line at McDonald’s first next time.

The stuffiest rooms ever. I don't think we could even open the windows, just the door. We had to have the AC run all the time but it would be nice to get some fresh air, especially since they have these terrible room fragrance sticks that make the entire room smell like feet and I just couldn't get rid of this smell for the entire stay.

The rooms were big though and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very helpful.

Payed 2x standard rate due to the concert (Red Hot Chilli Peppers) but happy to have a room within walking distance. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful, and seem quite used to the concert clientel. Patrons were well behaved as far as I could tell, rooms are quiet. No sink in the kitchenette and we inherited someone's carrots and corn in our bathroom sink.

Alright place to stay, but disappointed that you pay a 200 deposit and have to let them get your card details as well. Still waiting for my 200 refund as my other friends stayed in different rooms and have received theirs.

Nice looking room but! Room wasn't clean, not all Curtin wouldn't open, restaurant was a joke. Wouldn't recommend over priced for what they supply

I travel allot all over New Zealand and this was one of the worst places I have even stayed in. I wish I could give it a minus star. I have never seen such bad manager from a night manager! Screaming at their customers (we were a few ppl that booked in together) we weren't allowed to order from the menu and was only served fish and chips. He even accused a lady of stealing infront of the whole group. Will definitely not going back there ever again and will definitely NOT recommend this place to stay in.

The first room I was booked stunk of cigarettes. I had them move me and the next room was better. Neither of the two tv remotes worked in my room and the shower was awful surging when I was using it. You got blasted with hit and cold water so it was a very quick shower. The reception staff were super friendly and really helpful with changing rooms.

The Western Ellerslie International Hotel Auckland was a Lovely, comfortable, well presented Hotel. Loved the spa room we had, plenty of towels & the gentleman staff who looked after us on Sunday 12/06/22 was prompt, efficient & fantastic.

Stayed for a work trip. The first room was dirty, very run down (not all rooms have been renovated). I was upgraded as I found hair in the bed and all over the chairs. The next room was nice but falling apart; one of the bedroom doors was coming off it’s hinges, kitchen cupboards coming off, filter tap in kitchen was almost coming out of the socket and old milk and old yoghurt from previous guests in the fridge. Probably won’t stay here again. In saying that the staff were really friendly and nice.

Very convenient as 1 minute to Southern Motorway and short walk to train station to get into the city. AT Hop card available at IGA store in the shopping area.

We stayed at the ‘best western’ Ellerslie International for 3 nights. The staff were friendly and pleasant and all had smiles on their faces. The rooms were modern and comfortable and we’re recently renovated. The room service and ladies were excellent.
I can’t rate this hotel high enough. Do not hesitate to book.

Massive thank you to the reception stuff and the to all the housekeepers. We appreciate you so much Western Star Ellerslie Hotel stuff Crue for everything that words can not express how greatful I am while enjoying our staying there for 4 months. The rooms are super clean and tidy with everything that other Motels don't have. Air Con in every rooms, sky box with flat screen tv etc. I recommend anyone on here to book your stay with Western Star Ellerslie. Really nice and friendly workers. God bless the housekeepers and each and every one of you. Hope to see you guys again.

Usually a very nice place to stay however this time was full of WINZ people staying there and kids that thought the place a was a playground.
Several times i had to complain to management about the kids running around that carpark which is a health and safety risk and they did not seem to care and seemed to have no rules in place.
Came home to discover several very bad scratched on my ute about the height of a childs scooter, however is hard to prove but has only happened while staying there i will have to get his fixed.apart from that the housekeeping was spotless and must be commended for that.so definite need for improvement sorry for the poor rating

Room was full of fleas and they did not care about things been stolen from our room not a very great experience. Also had poor staff management a lack of communication from staff and manger of the hotel.

Great proximity to Race course. Hotel was clean and well presented. Lots of parking and great rooms recently updated. Manager was excellent and delivered first class service with a smile. Definitely stay here again.
