Farina

Today, I revised my review of Farina, lowering my rating from 5 stars to 1 due to the Italian manager or owner (women who has short, curly hair)

Since the end of 2019, my Italian friend introduced me to this place, and I quickly became a big fan of Farina.

Whenever my friends and guests visit New Zealand, I make it a point to bring them here. I've even recommended this place when people asked me hidden gem in Auckland.

Luckly, I hadn't experienced the Italian woman's service back then.

Few days ago, I brought my guests to Farina to celebrate their graduation. Unfortunately, that woman's behavior was SO RUDE. We found her tone and the way she spoke to us during our order to be completely unacceptable. Even my guests asked if we had done something wrong, puzzled by her rudeness. Maybe she only prefer to serve Italians? I felt so embarrassed because I had brought them to this place with the expectation of a good time, but we didn't have one. I understand that you may not remember all your customers, but you better to be kind at least get some manner to customers.

I'm sorry to the other staff and chefs because their service and food were good.

However, due to this worst experience from that woman, I won't be returning to Farina.

Okay. I love this place alot.beers and pizza is the best in Auckland! Moreover, dessert is goood as well! Def visit this place again! Very autentic Italian food!

Arrived to a very busy establishment with lots of people who looked like they were having a grand time. The staff were fast, efficient and friendly. The food is amazing if you havent tried Farina you are missing out. Do yourself a favour a book here you wont regret it.

I think the most telling comment of all was from my son who said he wished we had ordered Pizza Hut. That might have been quite harsh but 4 pizzas at $37 each for takeaway didn't really stand up to the taste test. We have had better.

This is a nice Italian place tucked away on the corner of Ponsonby Road. The atmosphere is a busy but intimate and intentionally decorated space. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, the food was very good.

Beautiful food but our evening last night was made even more fabulous by the wonderfully friendly and attentive staff. Top marks.

Came with friends the other night and wasn't disappointed!
We definitely pigged out and ordered a lot - see photos - and did not have any regrets whatsoever.
The risotto of the day was chock-full of flavourful, fresh clams and was the highlight - and I normally detest risotto!
The only complaint from my mates was that the pizza was a bit too salty, although I didn't think so at all.
Would absolutely bring mates here again, the wait staff made the wait for food barely noticeable too

Pizza is so fresh and tasty. Staff recommended 'porchetta' it was so yummy! Perfect tasty. I love it. Staff are really friendly!

My girlfriend and I dined here for a walk in Saturday lunch. Seated quickly and friendly then had an waiter serve us throughout who was awesome and witty that really helped make the strike mission to Auckland for good food worth it.

Had a Margherita pizza, Caprese style salad and a Eggplant parmigiana. All very authentic and delicious.

Had some lovely Italian reds by the glass to go with as well as a tasty espresso and special limoncello drink our awesome waiter recommended to finish.

Cool decor too! Highly recommended and thanks for the awesome lunch. Nailed it.

Wonderful night at Farina. Food and drinks were authentic. I love Salsiccia the best. We knocked a glass down accidentally and the staff came immediately with tissues and made us not that embarrassed. They were friendly and helpful. Grazie! Will come back when travel here again:)

I must have gone on an off day. The pizza was undercooked and had so much liquid it was pooled on the plate and the whole base was soggy.

Asked for it to be remade and it came back exactly the same - not good

We received a cold pizza, lacking the ingredients that were listed. It had 6 pieces, which for $36 is expensive.

Amazing food, great welcome, warm service. Truly Italian in flavours and atmosphere. Our favourite and must whenever in Auckland.

Lovely vibe as soon as you walk in. A biggish restaurant but with a cosy vibe. Accoustics are the best.can hear each other talk without noisy background. Lovely service and of course.yummy pizza

We had the burrata pizza and forgot what the pasta is, but it's so delicious! Their service is really good too.

Get the duck truffled stuffed pasta. THE BEST pasta I've ever had, great service with a passionate waiter who clearly loves the food at this cute the little date spot!
