Francesca's Pizzeria reviews
67Unreal Pizza - Best in auckland by a country mile! Will keep going back until im 6ft under. Lesshhhgo Eshhay Bah
Honestly this is top tier pizza in Auckland super fresh with great ingredients, we got the Pulcinella and the Francesca’s choice both were great but I did like Pulcinella the best. We also got the Tiramisu and the Chocolate Lava cake, don’t skip the lava cake this was super good. Check this place out! I also took a photo of the menu cause it was hard to find a good copy.
Best pizza in auckland by far, enjoyed it a lot my italian girlfriend was so happy she felt a little bit at home traveling through flavors, took a little to come out but totally worth it! Not much space inside and decided to take away and eat it in the car, 100% recommended, super friendly staff and the chef is from napoli! Great guy too!
We took a margherita and a margherita with sausages and they were both delicious! Excellent ingredients. Very nice environment, you feel at home.
You have to wait a bit but it's worth it. And the place is tiny so seating is limited
Ordered at 6, told to come at 7, chef had "forgotten" our order, we left at 7.45 as our order had still not been started. Unacceptable service, way to ruin a night
I can confirm this is the best pizzeria in New Zealand. If you want to try the real flavour from Italy this is the place!
Mind blowing pizzas and desserts!
Great pizza. But witnessed the most abusive behaviours from the male owner-operator to the point that we won't be coming back.
Delicious authentic pizza with an authentic service! Prepare for a wait but it’s worth it.
Ordered a Francesca’s choice wood fried pizza was told it would be ready in 30 mins- however had to wait 45mins. The website menu reflected the pizza price being $24 yet i was charged $27.50, i was told paywave costs had been added, which works out just under 15% paywave fee (a little excessive and cheeky to not have mentioned prior to payment.
For this reason i will not be returning - it’s a shame as the pizza was actually pretty good!
Great take away pizza, clay oven fire cooked.
A bit of a wait but worth it. Call ahead to order recommended
I love the pizza here so much, it’s awesome value, the Quattro is coated in about a cm of blue cheese. Heavenly. HOWEVER… every time we order takeout, they consistently quote us an ETA which is way sooner than the actual time. Twice I have been waiting in my car for over 30 minutes. Just tell me honestly how long it’s gonna take. I’m getting takeaways because I’m busy, I don’t have an hour to park outside your damn restaurant waiting for the food. Otherwise, perfect.
Not sure what gas changed. None of the pizzas were as ordered. One not cooked properly. Over all. Don't bother!
The pizzas are amazing here. I got two different types and loved them both. The prices are very reasonable too.
Wow, I haven't had that flavour in a pizza since I was in Sardinia in 1993. This place is the real deal if you want a real pizza. I'm so happy to know I can get a pizza in NZ now with real ingredient.
Francesca's is a great pizza spot, one of the few that use wood fire. The pizza is great. Made by authentic Italians. Wait times are unfortunately not so great. Expect at least an hour of waiting or order ahead and put some washing on. Alternatively, try some of the freshly made desserts begging to be eaten. Or just grab a pasta, it's much faster. Bring on the expansion!
Be prepared to wait forever for your pizza, don't bother ordering in advance because he won't start to make it until you get there. An hour or more wait is typical if he's really busy, added bonus he'll sweat all over your pizza while making it!
Amazing food and very friendly staff. The restaurant is beautiful and it’s awesome seeing the pizza oven in the restaurant.
No doubt the pizza the owner make is delicious and very authentic, but just like everyone else, the waiting time is a stretch. But you can tell he works hard and has alot of passion for what he makes.
This guy is so incredibly rude, a chauvinistic attitude too. He doesn't even start making the pizza until you arrive so no point phoning in. Its the first time I've had a pizza that's been undercooked so that the cheese was still in grated form instead of fully melted. It's so oily the toppings just slide off. It cost $3 more than the fb menu. I'll take my money elsewhere next time.
