Franc's

Another fab lunch at Francs, under the guidance of the ever lovely Adele and her great team of servers. Just myself and mother-in-law this time, but the usual friendly and attentive service, and yummy food. The view, atmosphere, service and food make it our first restaurant of choice whenever we are back in Takapuna every 2-3 months. Thanks guys!

Ate there last night and had their Smashed Cheeseburger. It was the best cheeseburger I have ever had in New Zealand. The patty is somewhat crispy around the edges and I really liked that. The chips/french fries were crispy as well. The waitstaff at Franc's is always for friendly and helpful. Love going there!

Served at Francs last weekend by a wonderful server called Jordan. Service was great and helped create a lovely visit to the restaurant paired with delicious food. I will definitely be visiting again.

Great friendly service and well rounded menu. I enjoyed the pulled pork poutine and fish tacos. Definitely would come back again!

Very nice and lovely place. We tried many dishes all are delicious and tasty like it very much like Chicken Shawarma, fish and chips, chicken taco and Mac-and cheese.
The staff are friendly and welcoming. They come many times asking if we need anything.

There is one meal didn’t like which is crispy chicken burger it looks amazing but the chicken was not cooked very well crispy from outside raw inside, I told the man that it is raw and he brings us a new one but it is also raw from inside not cooked very well. They cooked the chicken breast with skin which leaves the meat cooked from outside and still raw inside.really disappointed about that dish only.we leave it as it is can’t eat it.

Awesome and friendly atmosphere the minute you walk through the door. Danielle and Alex our waiters delivered great customer service. They ensured we received the best possible hospitality for our sitdown meal. Food is great and highly recommend you visit Francs when next out at Takapuna with family or for a snack. Francs has awesome views of the ocean from whichever seat you choose.

Went for breakfast today, food was delicious. Coffee was great. The service was impeccable. As a mother, feeling welcome while eating out with my toddler is very important, they were more than accommodating.

Looks like Sunday is the worse day of the week to try out this place. Terrible service and food at such high prices! Better to order McDonald’s and sit on the beach. Part of our table ordered a burger… the meat was so dry and something didn’t taste right also missing items in food from what was stated in the menu. No table service and waiter did not care that we didn’t enjoy our experience and said we will be paying for it because we ate it when we actually didn’t and had to order at the bar most of the time. The attitude of the waiter actually shocked me. Mentioned no check back as that is the moment when things can be corrected before payment and got given an excuse of it being so busy and he’s been clearing tables when I watched our so called waiter deconstructing his pen for 10mins at the door and was two other small tables that other waiters were attending. We asked again what will actually be done about it then and he said nothing, you can speak to the manager but you will be paying for it. We had to go find the manager ourselves…. When we spoke to the manager, finally got given a refund but was told again you still ate it when only the bun and lettuce was eaten and made us feel like it was our fault because some on the table were gluten free…. The problem was the meat and not gluten free part and last I checked meat is naturally gluten free so for anyone that loves meat can verify meat is terrible when it’s off and heavily overcooked. Extra charge for that and less food as fries can’t be cooked in separate fryer. Don’t offer it as a option if you know it isn’t nice. All aspects of food should be delicious no matter of allergy and the faster the staff in this place learn to take responsibility and want to learn the better.

Had the platter, cheeseburger, and desert waffle with caramel apple.
Family going before i could get photos. The fried cauliflower was a standout, and the wagyu beef burger patty was what burger king wish they served. Bang on.

Great service. Fun food and a brilliant spot

Have been going for 3.5 year and just downhill over the past 18 months, we gave it another chance.

Waffles not made to order, lukewarm spongy and fried chicken not made to order.
Returned and ordered scrambled on toast.
Egg looked to have been from a package with water on the bottom of the plate.

Left very disappointed.

Friendly servers in a bad situation, tried to call Manger as we left but manager stated too busy.

Great all round experience. Comfortable seating, delicious food, good value and all staff looked happy to be there. This reflected in the service as they were friendly, accommodating and very welcoming. Many thanks. Denise

Went on sunday avo, service was a little slow. Ordered the chicken shawarma and a mimosa. I was served a glass of straight white wine, which I had to send back to be corrected. 1/3 of the way through my meal i started to notice what looked like pink raw chicken. Told the waiter i wanted to return the dish and wouldnt be paying for it. I felt sick. A gentleman came out and apologised for it and explained chicken was souveed and had been cooked for over 8 hours
but could understand why i waz put off. Credited us our whole bill and we left. Awesome customer service when situation arose. I felt menu was overpriced for what it was. 3/5

When I asked for either a croissant or a muffin I was told "We don't do cabinet food".
Might be an opportunity if you did. Coffee was good.

Pretty sure our waitress was one of my bullies in primary school, and the table was sticky.anyways, decent food by takapuna standards!

The place we go over the bridge just to have the best chicken waffle and a decent cup of mocha.
Could get very busy on weekends but the service is always friendly and pleasant.

Not impressed. My meal was adequate but not great. The service was friendly enough but rather haphazard, slow and forgetful.

Wrong drink. Coffee not tea.forgot to order fòod waitrd nearly 40 min till some one came and asked was i finished!

This place was lovely! The service was outstanding - so friendly and prompt. The food was yummy! Will definitely come back here
