I had a fantastic experience with Joseph, a salesperson at Freedom Furniture in Westgate. He provided excellent assistance in helping me find the ideal bed frame. Joseph's expertise was evident as he carefully considered my preferences and guided me towards the perfect choice in terms of design and size.

What truly impressed me about Joseph was his dedication to customer satisfaction. When the bed frame I wanted was unavailable at the Westgate store, he proactively sourced it from another location and arranged for its delivery to my home.

During our interaction, Joseph also informed me about the ongoing promotions at Freedom Furniture. It was during this conversation that he mentioned the discounted Dylon mirror collection, which I had been seeking for a while. I couldn't resist the opportunity and ended up purchasing one of the mirrors.

Overall, Joseph's professionalism, knowledge, and exceptional service made my experience at Freedom Furniture truly outstanding. I highly recommend Joseph to anyone in search of a salesperson who goes the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.

I don't want to leave any stars, but I have no choice but to leave a review here. I ordered a dining table set with a bench in early March 2023 with the expectation that it would be delivered in early April. However, the goods were delayed without any notice or follow-up email. Only one dining table has finally arrived, while they were all supposed to be delivered together as promised. I have been chasing up my goods every single weekday, and now they say the rest has been dispatched in the system but I have no idea when it will be arrived. The delivery service number for New Zealand never picks up, no matter how many times I try calling.

Honestly, should I bill you for the hours I have spent chasing this up on behalf of your duties? I am confused as to who is responsible for providing customer service after payment. If you have the patience of Buddha OR even HIGHER THAN HIM, then you can go and get your goods from Freedom.

PS. The deliveries have also arrived late by more than an hour. What a waste of weekends. Awesome team.

Ordered a table and chairs for $1700 October 15. Scheduled to be delivered 12 November. The delivery truck showed up and dropped off the table but no chairs. Today is 17 January and I am still waiting for my 2 chairs. No communication from Freedom Furniture. The order has been marked as delivered in their system and there is no resolution proposed. I will be filling a Commerce Commission complaint and a Consumer NZ complaint. Worst customer service experience I have experienced in NZ.

Edit: the chairs were delivered 21 January. I would not recommend FREEDOM furniture.

Fantastic service from the Westgate team. Lucia checked the stock while we waited online and had the product ready to collect on arrival. Had to return for colour exchange and this too was handled professionally. Highly recommend visiting this store and its customer focused salespeople, Lucia, Dix and Joseph.

Ordered Duvet set early Dec 2022. Still have not seen it 17 Feb 2023. Customer service number for NZ never picks up - eventually hangs up. Every single time! Contact by email has been answered with apology and referral to the store (Westgate) who are supposed to be fulfilling the order (do you think they've lost it maybe?) and still no contact. Back & forth over emails still nothing. Call the store - no answer either. Honestly shall I bill you for my hours chasing this?

Your reply is not helpful as i have tried that avenue to no avail.

Staff emailed wrong phone number to freight company so my order didn't come today. We have correct phone number on the invoice tho.bad customer experience, Freedom should contact us first not us calling 2 times.

Had a fantastic experience with Joseph in the furniture department. There was a couple weeks delay on something’s (like everything at the moment) however communication around this was excellent and he provided regular updates. Thank you for a great experience Joseph, we will definitely be back.

Ordered online and shocking experience from a prestige company. Makes you dont want to shop with them again. Delivery delayed and on top of that they delivered the wrong size of the slats! Called them straight away and even emailed them the pictures and they were even shocked of the size of the slats. A week after we emailed them for the update then we were asked again for the sizes then confirmed in email that we have received the wrong size. What a bloody joke! They said they are going to sort out asap. And they delivered it on the weekend without even telling us or notifying us on the delivery and we were not even at home and they didn't even leave the parcel somewhere safe so we had to wait for couple of days to be delivered again! No compensation from them!

Response to the owner:
we understand and appreciate the global shipping issues, the problem is being sent incorrect items, waiting over a week for the soloution, getting told they wouldn’t wait for us when they came for delivery and we didn’t know about. No notification from you guys! Our new winkl mattress should be open a week from receiving it but because of the hassle we have gone through of our order it was not opened for a month. Our orders should be delivered by between end of July to 4th of August and we were patient enough on the 2 weeks delayed after the said date however its the annoyance when were given the incorrect order and the time it took to be resolve. So please don’t use the global delays as an excuse. If you read your other reviews you will notice the same issues your company is doing. So please sort out whats the ongoing problem in your logistics or deliveries for your future customers.

Absolutely incredible customer service from Rochelle! She went out of her way to find a product for me that was showing out of stock on the website. Not only was she super helpful, but also very friendly and lovely to deal with. Very happy with my purchase! Thank you Rochelle:)

Amazing customer service from manager Arun and Dix. They were determined that we'd buy a sofa from them and not the competitors who we were also looking at and they did a great job at selling to us. I kept changing my mind as to colours etc and being annoying but it wasn't a hassle for them and they were really helpful. A great balance of selling but also not being too pushy. Safe to say, they made a sale! Would definitely make a point of purchasing from the Westgate store again.

Shocking customer service. Whoever is in charge of distribution/logistics should be sacked. Bought the sofas and was told delivery will be in contact when they could deliver but it wasn't until I contacted them after weeks that a delivery date was set. Was told between this time and that time and waited longer than an hour after the window time and had to phone in to work to take annual leave. Finally the sofas arrived and 1 of them were the incorrect sofa. Phoned them about it and was told they would get back to me that day. They didn't and I had to phone them about it the next day. Was told they only deliver on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I'll have to wait another week but they will be in contact with me with the date.they didn't and I had to phone them again to get a delivery date. Told me again between this time and that time. As off writing this now, I've been waiting for 3 hours over the time window and had to take more annual leave. Anybody with half a brain cell would have organized an alternative transport since it was their fault but now I have to adjust my schedule, take leave and adhere to all your commands because it's clear you do not care about your customers.

Update: It's now been 4 hours and no respo s from there Customer service team

Update: After sorting out a new date for delivery and waiting at home again for it.nothing.not even a call to sy they won't be able to make it. So now I'm stuck again looking out my window for a hope of seeing a truck but no.no miracle for me. Absolutely shocking

The worst service in history. Bad quality furniture. I bought sofa before level 4 lockdown. The spring came out from the cushion. Scratch my legs and my hands.after 2 weeks the cushion start pilling (very very bad feel). Bad customer service with late reply. Never stand in customer situation think. When I ask refund or return. They put pressure on me with consumer guarantee. In my understanding, the original intention of the consumer protection law is to protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumer.instead of letting bussiness refuse customers again and again.
