Its great to know that in the event I am injured and can't drive while I recover I can hire a vehicle that can be funded by ACC so I can get back on the road and be mobile. The hand controlled cars are great for people with leg injures like a broken leg or ankle etc. Keep up the great work!
The First time organised a van here it was pretty seamless, which is why I went back a second time. But currently waiting to hear back from anyone, after my initial email and a follow up call I made 3 days ago. The staff member I spoke with told me they would reply the next day, and we’re slow due to short staffing. Still nothing. Wouldn’t recommend this service if you need to book a van within a fortnight. Hard to plan any trips if you don’t reply to customers. Disappointing.
We had a booking with them and it was Friday when the booking was confirmed. We got in touch on the same day to discuss some details and agreed to call back to provide payment information. That was the end of Friday. First thing on Monday at 9.30AM, we received a cancellation of the booking, while we were just about to call as agreed to finalize the payment. There was no communication either regarding the action while obviously Andrea, the operator, managed to relist the car over the weekend. Their business hours were 7: 30AM to 4: 00PM and again it was the weekend. Our not being in touch over the weekend was purely out of courtesy and a nonsensical cancellation was what we received. We are not usually into naming and shaming but this is a totally unprofessional act that cost us so much extra due to the absurd disruption that caused. The operator/company showed to intention to remedy the mishap either. Lucky us we are nowhere near being disabled but imagine one got into a similar situation? Total unprofessionalism and what a disappointment.
We ordered the car from Austria via email, problem-free. We got a Honda Fit Shuttle with a huge trunk, no problem with the wheelchair and the luggage. The car had free GPS! The organisation was perfect, we got the car in time in front of our hotel, got an explanation in detail. Freedom mobility organized a parking permit, which was in the car, perfect. All in the company are very friendly and helpful. The only disadvantage is, they are in New Zealand, only, my vacations would be much better if they would offer their cars worldwide)
Danny and I hired a car, very easy, greeted us at Auckland airport, we dropped the car back full of fuel, no issue. Great company, great communication. Thank you.
