66Best bottomless brunch I’ve ever been to. Excellent service and 10/10 food. Will definitely be coming back.
I did the bottomless brunch and had such a good selection of food, drinks and the staff were amazing! I 100% recommend it.
The old menu was better. I had a few favourite dishes which are gone. Wasn’t overly impressed with the quality of food. It was always so good until now
Incredible! Best bottomless brunch that my girls and I have attended and they’ve really set the standards high for other bottomless brunches around Akl! Every single dish was amazing (the spring rolls was a fav and literally tasted like deep fried mini Big Macs. Unsure what it was called) and the mi goreng, dumplings, bao buns, fried chicken, desserts - just everything is cooked to perfection and is served fresh and piping hot.
The drinks was also delicious (and a bonus that you’re able to try them all/switch the next round) but the tequila sunrises hit the spot.
Aside from the delicious food and drinks - the service itself was impeccable and they continuously serve throughout your entire stay (we’ve noticed at other establishment they‘re often slow or low on staff while packed out). You will not leave this establishment hungry or thirsty!
On top of all of that - the comms was fast, efficient and accomodating. Very happy with the email exchange upon booking and they made sure everything was an easy process when we had to change dates and number of people attending. We will surely be back again!
I’d say IF there was a downfall then it would only be the food wastage. We regrettably left with two full tables of food which seems quite wasteful. In the future, we’ll decline any extra plates or top ups to avoid this. Otherwise a limited take away option would have been even better (currently no take away option so beware of overindulging or eating with your eyes to avoid too much leftovers).
The "good" was average and the bad was inedible.
The massaman curry had very little flavour and the tempura batter was doughy (see pics).
And the dumplings a combination of no flavour and doughy.
My family and I celebrated a birthday here the other night and LOVED it! We all can't stop talking about it! Gao has the tastiest food, great service and delicious cocktails. My brother whose birthday we were celebrating was gifted dessert and they brought it over lit with a candle. They went above and beyond to cater to us. We can not wait to come back! Thanks again for having us!
We booked as a group of 6 for bottomless brunch, was such a great experience. The service we got was exceptional waiters were attentive to our group. Food was served as soon as we we're seated and drinks came out not long later. Our group really enjoyed Gao and look forward to coming back soon. Thank you to the group of waiters that served us today. One of the best bottomless we've been too.
Just went there for the first time and it was amazing! I'd vividly recommend the crispy ribs, the edamame and the squids but everything else was really good too! The cocktails were delicious too: D
I've heard they do bottomless brunch on weekend, so I'll have to come back to try it!
We had the Gao Fried Chicken, Drunken Fish, Crispy Eggplant, Kung Pa-Orange chicken, Sichuan Spicy Noodles & Papaya Salad.
The Goa Fried Chicken was great. Nice & crispy, but it just needed a hot/sweet/spicy dipping sauce. The Drunken Fish was average, it lacked taste. The Crispy Eggplant was a highlight. Delish!
The Kung Pa-Orange chicken was average, it lacked depth and flavor. The Sichuan Spicy Noodles …. Average. The Papaya Salad was another highlight. We’ve eaten twice here now and it seems consistent. There are some great dishes. Enjoy!
New bottomless brunch is up and running… is it the best in Auckland? Yes… best including other places in the world? !? Yea I’d say do.give it a go.
Music was SO loud we couldn’t hear each other. Had to ask three times before they turned it down. Service was poor and I ended up moving our used dishes to an empty table that already had dirty dishes sitting on it. Food was good but won’t be going back.
Awesome to took ozzy guests, we all loved it. Very good value for money for both the food and drinks. Cool decor.
Really enjoyed our meal out! Pad Thai was delicious, pork dumplings were great and staff were lovely highly recommend!
We had dinner for four and chose the set menu with dessert. The food was amazing with plenty of choices. We wouldn't do the dessert option again though as firstly we were pretty full and secondly the dessert did not present as value for the extra dollars spent. The service was top notch and the decor amazing. Going back in the new year
Amazing atmosphere. Beautiful food. No photos as I was at a wedding dinner which they catered perfectly. All left overs where also packed up and sent home with us. 10/10
Mouthwatering dishes, impeccable and original presentation with efficient service.
Amazing experience at Gao Fusion
Ate here with a group so we shared a lot of different plates. The food was absolutely delicious, and I loved most dishes. Highly recommend this place!
We dined here and had a lovely dinner. Food was absolutely delicious and well presented. Staff were lovely and friendly, and service was very fast. Ambience of the restaurant was perfect with the murals highlighted on the walls, and fairy lights in the ceiling. All in all a great dinner and would definitely recommend.
So glad I found this place! The cocktails superb and the food so fabulous, the best a
ASIAN fusion restaurant in Auckland.
BEST CUCUMBER SALAD EVER! I ordered the cucumber salad, kfc bao bun and the Peking duck and loved every bite! Reasonably priced for the qaulity of food.
