Garador Garage Doors Auckland

Had Garador doors for our new builds. Amazed with the door quality and value. Thanks for Austin for the service and knowledge, will always use Garador for our upcoming projects.

Without doubt one of the worst experiences I have had. Sam Drake (apparently the operations manager) won't get back to me despite multiple calls early on and won't come back and fix the issues. I have 4 doors and all are screeching and clacking. This has been going on for about half a year. I ended up complaining to the Garador manager who did nothing but put me back onto Sam.
Someone finally came unannounced while we were going out. They came back the next week and attempted to fix the doors. Said they needed to come back again with parts. Never did. I had to follow up and tried to get hold of Sam multiple times. No answer, no response. Complained to the shed company who escalated it to the manufacturer. The manufacturer (Lee James from B&D doors) contacted me and said some parts had been ordered and the job was booked in but seemed more interested in making sure I was aware it wasn't the manufacturer at fault but the installer. Sam Drake finally called me and I missed the call. Called him back straight away. Didn't answer so I text him. No response whatsoever from Sam. I've had it with this company. With Sam Drake working there, I can't understand how they are still in business. I will NEVER EVER recommend Garador. DO NOT USE THEM!

We ordered two garage doors from Garador Auckland, one double and one single, well in advance of when we needed them. On the install date, it was discovered that the single door had been manufactured 1 meter too small in width, which I found difficult to understand how they could get so wrong, given they obviously had previously completed a site measure. We moved into the house soon after so we had to make do with a bit of flimsy plywood while we waited for the replacement. From this point on I was appalled with the level of service. When a rep finally got around to calling me two weeks later, he explained that they had to go through an internal warranty process before the 'claim' could be approved and a replacement door could be scheduled for manufacture. He didn't really seem to care or couldn't be bothered making any effort to remedy the situation in a timely manner, which I would have expected given the mistake they had made. I suggested to the rep that a discount on the second door would be reasonable compensation for the mistake, to which he said he would investigate and come back to us but we never heard back. In total, it took another 7 weeks after the initial install date for them to show up with the new single door. During the install they also put some of the wall brackets in the wrong place and had to remove them, leaving some large holes in the GIB. Now that the doors are installed they are fine, but given there are plenty of options when it comes to garage door suppliers in Auckland and they are all similarly priced, the only thing to differentiate them is service, and in this situation Garador Auckland's level of service left a lot to be desired.

The owner has responded to this review stating that they can't find my name - this is because I was the end customer and it was my builder who arranged the supply of the garage doors. I did have a phone conversation with someone from Garador Auckland directly and a lot of this review is based around that unsatisfactory interaction.

Garador installed 3 garage doors for us. During the installation the installer dropped one of the panels resulting in a large dent. The panel was installed anyway. Dates for repair have come and gone. It is now 6 months since this installation and we are still waiting for the replacement panel. Totally unacceptable customer care.
With regard to Garador's response; you have no record of the installation under my name as the home was built by a reputable building company who have been handling this issue on my behalf. The doors were indeed installed by Garador Auckland and my comments stand.

Please pay attention to the seal these guys put around the frame of the interior of your garage door, we recently bought a house less than two years old with a Garador. The seal has a staple every maybe 400mm, has no adhesive between fixings and will not last. I've pulled out all the staples, which might I add were rusted as this is exposed to the elements. I've had to redo the seal correctly. Please see photos. The door is a great product, don't get me wrong, but installation of this was is terrible.

The gearbox on my garador motor failed after 3 years and 9 months, of course it was out of warranty. Because we didn't purchase it from Garador it was installed by someone else Garador are not interested. We are an elderly couple who haven't mistreated the door at all. Would never recommend Garador

HB agent just won't contact us. Tried 2x on email and they are not taking phone calls. Just don't bother with these guys

Really pleased with my new sectional garage door supplied and fitted by the Garador guys & the remote app is a nice extra to be able to access the door function from any where. The old door was replaced quickly without any hitches and was taken away so I didn't have to worry about it. I am happy to recommend Garador to everyone.
