Garrison Alarms

I had installed a CCTV unit for a store I manage through Universal Alarms which has subsequently sold their business to Garrison Alarms. I recently needed to review CCTV footage and the password I was given would not work. This should have been an easy fix but I was charged over $300 just to get the password reset. The cost was unjustified and Garrison Alarms were not reasonable with the fee for getting the password reset.

I have used another company for my home CCTV system and when I needed similar help, they happily sorted this out for me with no costs.
I will not be using Garrison Alarms again for any of the CCTV systems across the multiple stores I manage nor would I recommend them to anyone.

Garrisons have just installed a new alarm system for us. It was a great experience from the start to finish. Very professional! Would highly recommend this company.

Changed to 5 star as had initial issues with quotes, pricing and communication however owner was quick to explain and rectify issue in a professional manner.
Alarm now repaired and working great

Called for a repair to our alarm system, they could not give me a quote beforehand, not even an approx. I even asked if it would be more or less than $100 and they responded that they did not know and couldn't say.
Only gave me a breakdown of fees after work had been done in the invoice that was sent - And total was very expensive (much more than $100) the price did not reflect work done (essentially just changing some batteries) Very pricey company - no wonder they did not want to give me a quote.
When queried they claimed they had quoted me when they had not.

Also Very poor communication, they do not respond to emails and I ended up just paying as the bill was due.

AVOID THIS COMPANY!

I had a terrible experience with Garrisons in Dec 2018 whereby I was charged $800 for 3 sensors and a battery. 24 hours after the technician left the alarm stopped working. I have just yesterday (July 2019) got another alarm company to come in and they found the battery that Garrisons put in was enlarged and sitting in the roof insulation about to explode which would of caused a house fire (see images below). I found them to be extremely unhelpful and VERY pricey and all the technician wanted to do was leave as soon as he could. I was also told by the new alarm company that where Garrisons had placed the sensors in the house left large blind spots where people could still get in and rob the place. To compare pricing, I just got a brand new alarm system fully installed with external siren for $760. A lot better money than the $800 for 3 sensors and an explosive battery from Garrisons. What is also ironic was my manager was also looking for an alarm company at the same time I was and she also called Garrisons to install her alarm - they rescheduled 3 times and mucked her around so much that she cancelled and booked another alarm company - she also doesnt recommend Garrisons.

The sales person and pitch from this company was great-but all downhill since. So many problems with the alarm not working as promised. Six months since install and yet another problem. Not recommended.

Shopped around a bit for a house alarm, garrisons price was the best I found, professional, quick install, happy with units, big thumbs up

I recently had a job done with Garrison and they were fantastic! From booking the job through to the technician who did the job, the staff were all very friendly and efficient and knew their stuff. So great to find a company who prides themselves in excellent customer service.

I've had a great experience with Garrison Alarms. I booked a service due to issues with the existing alarm system set-up in our home. It was great to get a booking so quickly and I found Barry, the technician who arrived the very next day, to be fantastic. He arrived on time and cut straight to the chase with the issues. He was very thorough with his advise.making sure I understood our set-up, options for improvement and the pricing of those.then just got on with everything in a very efficient manner. His advice was great and we are really happy with our new smartphone set-up. A very professional service which has given us peace of mind that all is working well with our system now. Thank you!

Garrison installed a new alarm system for us as we were moving to fibre. We are very pleased to have the new monitoring completely separate from the phone system - runs of a sim card, so while sim car jamming might be possible, we are not exposed to other simpler sabotage, like cutting the phone cable.

I had a fabulous experience with Garrison. Nicky came and was very knowledgeable and took account of what I was after with practical suggestions (which weren't necessarily the pricey ones!), install went absolutely fine, the alarm is set up on my mobile and very easy to use. I feel so much safer.

I recently had a new Garrison Alarm installed. The team and staff were excellent and very helpful. They knew what I needed and help explain how the system will work for each of our family. After being broken into we felt better knowing we can have an alarm that will notify us Using the IP module Which we can control our alarm from our smart phones. Thank you for a great service. An alarm at my rental property began to beep and we contacted several companies to get it fixed. Garrison Alarms was great, they quickly arranged a visit and got the alarm back up and running.
