The only pub I have ever felt comfortable in, other than O'Hagan's in the city. Good staff, who have mastered the skill of diplomacy, as our group was there from 4pm until closing time, and the staff never pushed us out but were polite the whole time. The bar prices were standard for Auckland, and I only drank juice any way, which is $4.50 per glass. I had my favourite Pork Belly dish at around $16. You can also order pizza at around $22-24 to share with your mates. They have Sky so you can watch your league / rugby / boxing live! Good for sports finatics.

It was ok. Staff were friendly and the service was prompt. My only issue was that the smell from the smokers outside kept wafting in. That was unpleasant. I wonder if there is a better way to allow smokers to indulge without making non smokers breathe in the vile smoke? Otherwise it was ok.

Nice place with good service. Staff shared the joke about the difference between lager and larger. Some clown didn't spell check the menu

We always have a great time here and go out of our way to visit and get a feed every time we're in NZ.

The most amazing ribs, carefully made cocktails and attentive staff makes dining at this place one helluva experience! Definitely recommend this place!

Staff were wonderful, food was delicious, but we sat at the table opposite the door way out all through our meals we got all the smell from smokes, and I am asthmatic, I went home with a nasty headache from the smell of smokes.

Went here for our Xmas function. Very busy with a great atmosphere. Food (platters) were very nice and service e was great.

Went there for lunch after a morning of shopping, the food and drink was amazing! Had pork belly bites, cauliflower, chicken wings and virgin mojitos. Everything was delicious and would highly recommend.

This place used to be our local but the bouncers have put us off. We ordered a jug and just as we sat down closing time was announced, the bouncers giving us 5 minutes to finish and leave, we thought this was poor service considering the bar staff could have told us at the counter before purchasing. We no longer come here.

Ordered a Caesar salad, crispy squid, pizza bread & pork ribs.
Caesar salad 2/10.
Need to cut lettuce up smaller to make it easier to eat. Croutons are super hard.

Pork was tough. Sauce was cold & too sweet.

Squid was rubbery. Batter not light.

Bread was ok.
Place was super noisy. Staff were nice except for the older Cashier Man - could have smiled & asked how our meals were.
Thankfully booked through first table so got a 50% discount. It was good to finally try the food but we wont be back

Food won't surprise but also doesn't fully disappoint. Cheesy garlic bread was nice. Onion rings were a bit bland.
Got a sirloin steak, well cooked. Loud ambiance but very nice and fast staff.

There for drinks on Friday night (26/02). Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Bar staff had a smile only for their friends, while the rest of us were greeted with an air of disdain. Food and drinks were reasonably priced, but everything sours in the face of poor, reluctant service.

Great food, quick service - not really a good environment for family. Music was so loud, drunk people arguing and it was only 7pm.
But good menu and quality food

Service was ok. We ordered fish and chips. Which was a little oily. And the loaded Beef Burger. Both large portions. Burger was a little cold in the middle. But other wise ok

I think this place is a fair 3 star. You have to give credit for getting the food out quickly even when busy and having some great ribs and the best kumara fries in town. Where they let themselves down was the music is louder than any night club on K road. Good luck trying to have a conversation and the waitstaff complaining to us about being overworked doesn’t make for a good atmosphere.

Went in for a drink and literally got called a cheapskate for asking what the different prices were (they're not listed on the menu). Poor service.

Had lunch here today with a friend. I had the Beef Nachos and the Dessert of the day which was creme brulee, raspberry compote and French vanilla ice cream. My friend had the prawn twisters, kumara fries and the same dessert. Lovely big serve of Nachos, with guacamole, sour cream, a few jalapeno peppers and a cheesy sauce. Plenty of meat sauce and accompaniments so you weren't overwhelmed with corn chips and nothing to have with them. The dessert was just enough to finish it off nicely. My friend's prawn twisters each contained a lovely big prawn and then a spring roll wrapper twisted around it so it looked like it was on a skewer. Serving was between 6 & 8 twisters. Came with a dipping sauce. Small bowl of orange kumara fries with a dipping sauce. Table service was very quick and friendly helpful staff. Only downside was no spoons came with dessert so I had to go and ask for them. All in all, a great place for lunch with friends.

Love Love Love the bbq pork ribs and the muscles from here! So good! Did not like chicken nibbles though (they came out very dry and hard to eat) the squid that came with the salad (not so great either). Guess it just depends on what you order and how it’s made that day and who made it lol

This place was very packed when I went with a group of friends, luckily one of us called a day or two in advanced and booked a table. The food was amazing, I had the beetroot salad and shared the mack and cheese. Freaking yumm! Staff were very good and helpful. Overall great place.

Music is so loud your shouting at people, we stayed for one drink and left to eat elsewhere, table beside us also commented to us about being so loud. Disappointing
