Took car here was running bad transmission was not changing they scanned it but unfortunately car was working correctly, I didn't get charged and got good advice, great friendly staff, recommend.

I got a full transfer case & gearbox rebuild and I'm very impressed with the professionalism and quality of work done. I dealt with Paul Initially and felt the service was on point.

After a small issue (unrelated to the work done) arose I went back and got them to double check their work as I thought something had gone wrong, to my surprise Chris did a complete check. Fully pulled apart both units and reassembled free of charge and found no issues at all.

I'm very happy with my experience with the Gearbox Factory and would send friends and family without hesitation.

Thanks Champs! After nearly two months of waiting, my gearbox hadn't been looked at. (Was told 10 days) When I picked it up, parts were missing from my transfer case which are now obselete. No offer to help replace missing items, pretty dissappinted.

Amazing experience at The Gearbox Factory. Extremely knowledgeable team. Diagnosed my car's issue quickly, then referred me to Ford, informing me of the possibility of the issue being covered under an extended warranty. They could have carried out the work themselves and made money, instead they did the right thing by me.
If I ever have transmission issues again, this is where I'll be going and I encourage all to do the same. Thanks team.

Handy location but couldn't diagnose fault on my car. It was a broken engine mount but they said have to rebuild the Gearbox.

I took my car to the Gearbox factory last November with a grinding sound possibly coming from its CVT transmission. Toyota dealers couldn't figure out the problem and were saying they will need to take apart the transmission and would make sense for me to rather buy a second hand transmission. With only 70000KM on the ODO, I didn't want to spend money on the second hand transmission. Brian from Gearbox factory was able to help. Not only that the problem got resolved, but I feel that my car has got more torque than before. I have been driving and have done over 7000KM since the repair, the car is perfectly running fine. Each time I sit in the car to drive, it reminds me that how great the job was done by the Gearbox Factory Team. Thanks guys!

Brian at Gearbox Factory is a true professional. He was able to diagnose the issue with my A1’s accumulator unit in no time and get it fixed within couple of days. Excellent service, highly recommended in west Auckland.

The Henderson branch were great to deal with in a very professional manner during my recent gearbox rebuild. At all times they communicated the diagnosis, estimate and progress in a professional manner. The loan car was used during this time which we appreciated.
I would use this company again and recommend them to all.

The mechanics were really easy going and were well equipped with the appropriate tools and knowledge to get the job done well.

Couldn't diagnose fault with AT. Had valve body replacement which cost $1100 and problem persisted. Asked what I should do next but did not get further correspondence from Gearbox factory.

I took my Van in on teh 8 May 2019. I got the Van back yesterday the 14th May 2019.with a $300+ bill with no repair, apparently the Gearbox is fine. Today the 15 May 2019, The Gearbox will only select 4,5 and 6 again.so back to square 1. Forget reputations, lets just get it fixed. I called Brian on the 10th to ascertain when I may get the Van back or I would hire one if it would be longer. Self employed Plumber so the vehicle is a viable tool. Brian said they have it up on the hoist and they are going through the Gearbox.fine. Called on Monday the 13th to check if the vehicle would be ready that afternoon and once again the same story as Friday, It is up the hoist and they are going through the Gearbox, So I asked how big is this Gearbox for your technician to be working through it for 2 days.all I needed to know is.if it would be possible to return the hired vehicle, Brian hits the roof and starts telling me I am in the wrong for calling daily however he has never advised via any type of communication where my vehicle is at. Rude as guy and very difficult to talk too.always ready to huff and puff for niks.

Brian the onwer/ manager was very helpful to get me back on the road. Even after making him aware of a couple of little problems with the rebuilt differential.
The Fully rebuilt Transmission shifts strong and feels great now on my 04 Holden vy ss v8 ute.
Would definitely recommend this repair shop to others.
