Ghost Street (Restaurant) reviews
43We have been travelling through Oz and NZ for 6 weeks and this meal knocked socks off everywhere! Superb. Delicious. Thank you
Awesome food, top service and accurate guidance as to how much to order. A solid choice of you’re dining out in the CBD.
The service was great - very friendly, attentive and helpful. The food is wonderful and tasty beyond expectation. If you’re looking to treat yourself I would highly recommend this place. They have a unique atmosphere that is charming and comfortable. Please go here!
10/10 food, some of the best flavours I've ever had. Loved the undergound atmosphere and the service was great.
The "free flowing kitchen" experience was quite incredible. It was super interesting to get my order about a minute after I made it.
Have their fried rice it is incredible
Their drinks are also really good.
No complaints will definitely be coming here again
Would’ve given 5 stars all round but drink glasses too small. Bigger glasses will result in better reviews and more frequent visits.
Very good food at reasonable prices. Our waiter, Patrick was super nice and helpful, and patient as he explained everything. Great place to hang out for dining with friends
So, so, so good. Hand pulled noodles. Dumplings. Service and atmosphere were amazing. Food was even better. 10/10 experience, go check it out for yourself.
I have been here 3 times and have always enjoyed my time here.
FYI lamb skewers were super spicy.
I loved the KK fried rice.
Purple kumura tiramisu and taro roll.were delicious!
You wouldn't know it was there, which was very appealing. Wonderful decor, ambience and friendly service. There were 10 of us and I feel a little more guidance would have been helpful when we ordered. We ended up ordering far too much. Noodles, duck, eggplant and dumpling dishes were great and they catered well for vegans and vegetarians. A little too expensive, but it really is a great experience for a special occasion.
The food was delicious. Everything seemed perfect, however, I didn't feel comfortable when I saw the kitchen staff eating in the kitchen when they prepared our food. Not sure what standard is in New Zealand, but I think the staff should eat in the staff room during their break time.
Amazing atmosphere, delicious food and top notch service. Set in the lower level, we didn't even know his restaurant existed. Staff are friendly and ensure you are enjoying your meals throughout the night. Best dishes which one must try are the Chinese pickled veges with wonton skins, Lab skewers and the scrumptious dry fired green beans. Lychee martini was nice and refreshing with this spicy meal and finishing off with the gorgeous Purple kumra tiramisu. Cant wait to come back to try more dishes.
Really delicious food, great setting, good service, had a fun evening tasting these delicious dishes.
Love the food, everything is so flavourful and delicious. Service was great and going in a group is perfect as you get to try a lot of different dishes. Bit our first time, grabbed a picnic box during lockdowns when picnics were the thing. Thoroughly enjoyed the food then and dining in was a pleasure. We will be back!
Place had a good vibe when we arrived, seating is a bit awkward. Unfortunately we ordered the set menu and it was a disaster. I dont think they understand what a set menu is. The snapper in a bowel of fire for 5 people to share was served in one big bowel with no method of serving, and had a tiny portion of snapper for us to share. My wife ordered prawns (5 for $40) which were severely overcooked, as was the duck. Unsure where the pork belly was supposed to be either. Over all a real train wreck of an evening. Some of the flavours were ok but id be shocked if anyone went to this restaurant twice. A Real shame.
Looked forward to being ‘ghosted’ away… alas might as well have ghosted this restaurant. Underwhelming, save your monies and dine out on dominion road instead.
Food was ok and I liked the atmosphere but the service was horrible except the one who sorted out our payment. He was nice and generous.
We went there for dinner on December 13th 2022. The foods are great. They have options for people with dietary restrictions, such as vegetarian and gluten-free. The servings are good for two people. Their main dishes can serve up to 3 people, depending on your appetite.
We also love the ambiance. It was like a medieval-styled restaurant with slightly dimmed lighting. The service is amazing.
However, their foods are a bit pricey for the serving. We spent $170 dollars for 5 meals and 3 non-alcoholic drinks. They also don't have wheelchair access, and the way to the restaurant is a bit hidden. Please make sure you check all the signs to avoid getting lost.
Overall experience was great and I loved it.
This must be one of the best Chinese restaurants in Auckland. Great vibe, amazing cuisine and service
Ate here for restaurant month. Really great atmosphere, food was mainly very good with a few mediocre dishes. Overall a lovely evening! Would highly recommend the yellow noodles and the wonton skins + pickles. Not as spicy as some might expect for Szechuan but delicious none the less.
