Food tastes bad, it is just salty. Disappointed with the wantan soup taste with soy sauce, nothing else. But the wantans are big, size like dumplings. Fried noodles no wok hei. If you opt for cheap food for full stomach but not tasty, this s a good restaurant for that.

The state of the Fish Tank at the entrance puts me off. If you can’t clean it don’t have it.

We have travellled alot and we can say this the best Chinese restaurant in the whole country

If you want some nice chicken chopsoe or Chilli chicken fiji style. No one else does it better

I organized a group of 35 adults & 5 children to a Buffet Dinner at Golden Garden Restaurant. All on trays, mains & desserts were up to our expectations. The customer service was awesome where the owner was able to personally check on the guests. We had a great time at the restaurant with our own choice of music playing in the back ground while everyone enjoyed their dinner & drinks. I would happily recommend this place to any one who is looking for a venue for small party.

For me it seems a Fiji Indian restaurant and takeaway. Not a bad option to try Fiji Fiji Indian taste if u love exploring different cuisines. They r open till 11pm if I am not mistaken. I remember I bought some food nearly 11pm. I find food is oily though.

Clean and quiet ambience. Tables and chairs are dressed looking smart. Friendly and helpful staff. We love the Chips and won tons entrée. The crispy chicken is a must and the whole snapper was delicious. However, the vegetable delight was disappointing. Portions were reasonably good and affordable. Well recommended.

We had fish and chips from the takeaway section and it was delicious! Everything was so yum. Chips and fish were crispy and burger was yum. I am glad we found our official takeaway place after moving to Mangere.

I saw few changes and it looks a lot brighter with the new painting and kitchen repainted snd looks tidy

Prices are reasonable. The owner Sha is very good & very welcoming. I like this restaurant as I've been coming here for years very local for me.

Visited this place for the first time ever and found the operators to be extremely polite, helpful and fast to attend their customers with a beautiful smile and greetings, not to forget to mention that lady at the counter was equipped with a face mask and wearing gloves even though we are on level 1. They take peoples health and safety seriously protecting customers and themselves for which i applaud them for their efforts. The food was realy good. Nothing to be faulted. Will definitely visit this place again. I do recommend all to support their business. Will always support local businesses and wish them success in the coming years and hope their business prosper.

Although at the lower end of the spectrum the Golden Garden Restaurant always provides good plentiful food at a really great price. The staff are always kind and courteous.

A place we have dined for many many years and consider it an icon of the papatoetoe area. The food is excellent the service is always great and there prices very reasonable. We highly recommend this place. It has a very classic look but the food is high quality.

Hey guys, this place doesn't look the flashiest in the world but out of the local Chinese places in Old Papatoetoe it's the best one (exception for the sweet n sour pork) the food is all flavoursome the vegetables seems fresh, most times the hot chips are nice.

Very popular. Always busy. Set up for big groups. Lots red and black in the decor. Huge servings. Reasonable prices.
Noisy and fun. Lots of laughing.

Mean kai still.used to come in ages ago with my mum for lunch cheap as.had dinner ate it there so good
