GridFree - Solar Panel Kits NZ

I recently purchased the Bach Kit from GridFree, and I am beyond thrilled with the whole experience! Setting up my Bach Kit was a breeze with an electrician of course, and the level of support I received from their team was absolutely top-notch. If you are looking at a kit for off grid definitely give these guys a call first!

We have been living in our tiny home for a few months now. We are completely off the grid, and are LOVING our solar power. The sun has been shining for most of these weeks, so we haven't really tested it yet but we have not been lacking power ONE BIT!

I ordered a Freedom Kit with a Hybrid inverter from Gridfree. Did the installation using the step-by-step installation manual. Our local resident electrician helped with the grid connection (backup). Living rural, this was the best decision I could have made. The kit performs to all my expectations and what a helpful and friendly team. Highly recommended.

Such an impressive system - we have used for a small off-grid office (Weekend Warrior kit) and a full bach on Barrier (Freedom Kit).

Fitted both ourselves. After fitting the office system as a bit of a test-run, husband was so confident in them after installing at Barrier, we left for home with freezer on and bait still in it - oooo, ballsy call that - but as predicted the system hadn't skipped a beat and all was well on our return.

Easy to install, powers everything we need, and makes us independent of Power companies.how good is that!

Stay away from this company. If they provide you faulty products, they give you zero remorse and will make you pay for the electrician bills to fix it. Better off spending a bit more and knowing you choose a company that is reliable, trustworthy and fair- all principles GridFree completely lacks.

Highly recommend Gridfree! A big thank you to Billy for answering all my questions and and patiently explaining everything I didn't understand! I got the batch kit, it's doing great, and can't wait to really make the most of it this summer.

The team at GridFree were great to work with, they took care of everything. The step by step instructions for instalation were easy to follow and worked perfectly. Thanks to GridFree our bush retrat now has a few creature comforts.

We would NEVER recommend GridFree to others, especially anyone wanting the bigger Lifestyle Kit like we did. You're WAY better off going to a company that not only supplies their product but also installs their product. This way you have less chances of getting completely ripped off and would receive way more customer service/support.

In our situation with GridFree, we were left in the middle of our electrician showing that GridFree supplied faulty products only for GridFree to turn around to say that the electrician could have damaged the parts. And to top an already unpleasant experience off, GridFree had the nerve to tell us that even if they did supply faulty products, they would refuse to cover the electrician bill anyways.shocking and completely unfair! Since when did customers get punished like this when broken products are supplied?

Unlike what we have been shown from GridFree, my husband and I have morals and principles and will fork out the money for the electrian's work. I hope that GridFree learns from this horrible experience, as the company seriously needs to improve their customer service and protocols.

Save yourself the unnecessary stress and go elsewhere.:)

Recently purchased starter kit for campervan. Customer service from original enquiry to pick up was excellent. The team answered all our questions prior to purchase (and there were lots of them!) to make sure we were getting the right set up for us. We installed the kit with the help of the installation booklet and found it easy to follow. I would highly recommend the team at GridFree if you are thinking of going solar:)

Helpful guys and they had good knowledge on the whole solar install process. They make it simple and easy to understand compared to other solar power companies.

Recently purchased the "Bach kit" and finally installed. It's been up and running for about 6 weeks now. Plenty of power to run water pump, washing machine, full fridge and small chest freezer. We also charge vacuum cleaner and drill batteries. Was easy to install with the included instructions. Even keep track of power produced and used using the wireless dongle. Impressed with the amount of power produced at 6am on a November morning in Canterbury.

If you're looking to save heaps on a solar setup and don't mind doing the leg-work, this is an awesome way to go. Happily living grid-free.
