Hallertau Tap Haus K'Rd / Bozo - Gin and Craft Beer Bar reviews
32We attended Ethan’s cocktail master class tonight for our early Valentine’s Day celebration and it was absolutely a blast! Ethan was very informative, friendly, and supportive throughout the whole class. We learnt new things + had so many great conversations with Ethan himself while drinking our cocktails! 10/10 will recommend!
Good Music. Nice cocktails. Would have liked a little more kick in it.
Great place to grab a drink and catch up with friends.
I had the most awesome service from my girl Liana, top notch with service on the drinks and extremely hospitable. Can’t overstate how incredible she made our night, highly recommend a pay raise for this lovely lady
Loved it. Nice quiet atmosphere, great drink selection, some food available but you can also get food from the Vietnamese joint out front delivered to your table. Staff are really nice and let you sample if you can't decide what gin to get
Really nice G & T bar with such a wide selection of Gin. Love the atmosphere and ambience. Great Date night spot!
The cocktails were good. But quite pricey, and also they were clearly understaffed (no discredit to the staff that were there). It took a while to order.
Wow. Caught up with an old friend here. We wore matching outfits by accident and that was a bit strange - how often do you see two people in brown dungarees and white sweaters? I don’t drink gin. Nice vibes. The lights came on.
One of our favourite bars on K Rd. Spacious and ambient with an amazing range of boutique gins plus a decent selection of craft beer and non-alcoholic beverages.
Staff and space are lovely, the design is thoughtful and the drinks are solid, but unfortunately both cost much more than what we were expecting (she paid $33 for a negroni and I paid $39 for a tasting paddle). Not sure how this happened but it took away from the experience.
Such a vibe.
A little on the warm side, but the drinks and throwback nibbles make you forget that. Cute lighting and decor, stay and chat for hours.
Been twice and had a great experience both times. It’s a cool atmosphere and they play good music (hip hop ish?). Either way, I enjoy it! The staff are super friendly and attentive and they make a MEAN negroni. I’m looking forward to my next visit
Sadly not a pleasant experience from a group of South Island travellers Short staffed, Staff reccomendation of the 3 different gins were bland and tasted the same. Food average.
The manager was unfriendly and disinterested. The female wait staff who had been there 3 days was pleasant and helpful but required training. Would not reccomend this bar.

Top chaps manning this cool little bar hidden off K'Rd; best banter and super friendly. Awesome speakeasy vibes to the place and a pretty darn good selection of drinks as well. We will be back!
Fabulous atmosphere. Groovy decor. Artistes creating new and exciting drinks in a very stylish and thoughtful way.
Fantastic venue! Nice fit out. Great range of gins, knowledgeable staff, brilliant service. Will definitely be going back again and again!
Cool new Gin-bar tucked behind a trendy Kroad foodalley. Amazing selection of premium gins and delicious tonics, quirky food/snack options including a mean vegan toasty: D goldy black and cozy decor friendly attentive and inclusive staff, lots to love
This place is a real hidden gem. Great service, lighting, seating options, background music. Really cool place to grab a drink with friends, you won't be disappointed.
One of our favourite bars on K Rd. Spacious and ambient with a good range of pale ales and sour beers in particular.
Have been here a few times for pre dinner drinks. It's a small place, but they have a few good beers on tap. Not a great wine selection for a friend who was with us though.
This is a nice spot – despite living near K Rd I only found this place a couple of weeks ago. Its in the back of the K Rd Food Workshop space – you walk past the rather garish but interesting Electric Chicken place. I quite like their neon signs. Hallertau Taphaus is in a groovy type of space. The place initially reminded me of a Finnish backroom bar – the bar is awash with wood – its been done quite tastefully. We were there on a rather warm Friday eve and they had opened the doors / windows at the other end of the bar. My favourite drink was the on tap G & T – it was delicious! My partner had a lemon curd sour beer, which she loved. They have a really good eclectic mix of drinks – there was a rice beer on their menu too. The bar staff were full of the joys of spring and were very helpful – they gave my partner some testes of beer before she bought. We’ll definitely be going back for more.
