Hammer Hardware reviews
13 -Convenient location
-Prices seem ok though haven't really compared them, suppose you pay a little more for convenience
-Good customer service and support, I go here if I want to ask some questions about the product, or about what I need to do to solve a problem, and I've always found them quite helpful. One time I returned a product several times until I found one that worked, and they were quite patient and helpful
-Don't really seem to have any online presence, so it's difficult to e.g. Look at reviews, order online, compare prices or check stock
I see them more as a place where you go for smaller purchases where you want it quickly, or it's not worth the trip to a bigger store, or where you need some advice
This hardware store is bursting with stock and they always have what I'm looking for.
The staff are very helpful and
Pleasant and are great if you need any help with
DIY
I fully recommend a visit
If you require any Hardware
help.
Although this is my local and a convenient location I'd rather go elsewhere. The staff are grumpy and seem to find making a sale annoying.
Very pricy. They seems to play on the "local" shop (owned by mitre10) to inflate the prices.
Great selection for a small shop. I'm sure the owner is knowledgeable and loves a good yarn but some things can not be hurried. If you have spare time to wait for the sums to add up, go for it.
One of the best examples of why you should shop local. Friendly and Knowledgeable staff; Competitive prices and great selection of products.
You’ll certainly find everything you need and lots of things you may not need, too but buying them anyway.
Very helpful service and stories while shopping.
Do you know why it’s called WD-40? Just ask and you’ll learn.
Everyone needs to support their local hardware to ensure they are around tomorrow. This hardware store like many small businesses have staff that have the know-how on such an extensive service level and this knowledge is the real reason they are valuable. No matter what the household or garden and car, lifestyle question they have the answers. This particular store has a variety of goods and I am never left wondering. Each need is satisfied on a professional and efficient manner. Highly recommend this place for everyday needs.
At exactly 3 minutes to closing on a saturday, over the holidays, they were still open and happy to help.gotta like good old fashioned service dedication - given almost everything else in Auckland is like a ghost town!
This place is small but fantastic. Plenty of parking out the back and they stock most things. Sometimes I come here just for advice and they're totally fine with that. Handy being next to a supermarket, chemist, butchers and vege shop.
I have heard a few people making comment on this store (in a negative way) however i chose to go in and find out for myself. I needed some keys cut so the guy went ahead and cut my key while I did some shopping next door, when I returned I asked if they sold a certain size driver to take the back off my sat nav, they didn't sell the correct size, but one of the staff went around the back and got his own tool kit out, unscrewed on screw and then replaced it, he said " yes you need one of these " he told me where to go and that it would cost $35, I asked if you could just take the screws out for me, he said no, he had to pay for it so no, I was dumbfounded, I proceeded to say that the store didn't sell them or I would have bought one and his answer was that I wouldn't let him use my car, what? No but I would take 4 screws out for you. I am a business owner myself and would go above and beyond to help and keep my customers, I did say that this was an act of selfishness he told me that was my opinion. Yes it is my opinion and that of at least 4 others I know, you have lost a good customer as I would never set foot in there again and also my OPINION will be shared with others.
I don't know what Clare was on about, they are friendly, knowledgeable and if they could do something for someone, they would. I guess, taking something out for someone and accidentally breaking it means they end up with the bill, which is why they don't do it for you, in case you turn around and advise them of breakages. Fantastic people
