Hare and the Turtle. reviews
75Our local for the best toasties a bit pricey but so worth it. The staff are always welcoming and friendly.
What a cool place for a toasted sandwich. I had the 3 cheese and it was totally yum.
The coffee is outstanding.cheers.thanks for having me.
Shame on me for thinking a local cafe in New Windsor wouldn't be cool. This is a true hidden gem with good food at a good price - good luck finding a seat at lunch time but they do takeaways as well.
The Hare & the Turtle is where its at for amazing food & service! This is my 2nd time co.ibg here for breakfast nd not only are the people absolutely amazing, cheerful nd friendly, THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY SCRUUUMPTIOUS! I %100 recomend, if youre on the area to pop in nd grab a coffee nd/or something to eat cause you will not be dissappointed! 10/10 guys
I totally ate it all before taking photos, but I’ll be driving over this way from the other side of Auckland because the sandwiches are that damn good.
Waited over 45 mins for our order and all of our table got served except two which never came out. Bad management and bad service when asked about it.
Awesome little Cafe in New Windsor. Highly recommend the fries but they also have some interesting toasted sandwiches.
Really good food and coffee. There is a place to sit and eat outside and they even brought a bowl of water out for our dog! Wonderful.
Had the egg and hash brown sandwich and the eggplant parm. Two of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had!
One of centrla-wesr Aucklands best kept secrets. They've got the best cinnamon scrolls and the eggplant burger is insanely delicious! This is our traditional brunch-out. Friends even visit nz and make a ritual stop over on the way to and from Auckland for the food! We love you guys and your work! Thanks to the whole team! U're superstars.
Ps, good coffee too and wonderfully toddler friendly staff
Simple menu but effective. Every dish done right by the team here with happy small business atmosphere giving joy everyone in the community. Dont buy the cinnamon bun so they dont run out before i get there
Love this place and their burgers, the breakfast bacon and egg burger is incredible! Service is always really friendly and up for a chat.
There’s never a seat available when I go but honestly I’m not mad, just glad that people are enjoying their goodies
Range is small but very well done. I used to be a dedicated Daisy fan but the Eggplant Parmigiana is 10/10. Once you Parma you won't go back!
This place is good but be warned that they do not have the breakfast menu that is in some of the older photos. I was pretty bummed they didn’t have pancakes or other brunch items when I arrived- but they do have two breakfast sandwiches available (amongst a menu of more lunch-type sandwiches) and cinnamons rolls that did not disappoint! The coffee was also very good and they had lots of options for tea as well.
Great location with parking. Friendly staff and fast service too. Food was so delicious and the cinnamon rolls were so soft and not too sweet.
The toasted sandwiches here are awesome if a little smaller so if you have a big appetite, definitely get 2 sandwiches. The staff are friendly and like to small chat and the coffee is good too. I will be back here sometime soon
This place probably had the best cinnamon roll I ever had. Never had it gone down so easily along with coffee. So soft. My only criticism is since the cafe is so good and busy, it would really do with more seating/tables. Service was really great as soon as you walk in.
Love this little local cafe. They remember my name and order every time I go in, it’s like seeing old friends again! Food is always on point.
Limited options on the menu however what they do make is very good! Bread is yummy yummy. Coffee was delicious. Busy so be prepared to wait but it's worth it!
