Didn't hire anything from here as they ran out of what we needed, but thanks to the kind & helpful crew here we managed to get the gear from a different branch.

What a rip off business!
I bought 2 sanding discs and checked with them that if I don’t use one can I return it and get a refund and they said yes
Took it back to the manukau branch when I returned the hired machine and they said sorry we can’t do it as it’s not on the same invoice and take it to Penrose
Took it to penrose branch and they said sorry the invoice for the hired machine is closed and this is on a final sale invoice and we can’t refund
They said we will talk to accounting and will get back to you but they never did

Firstly, a shout out to Ryan. Very helpful when I returned the trailer. I was really glad he was there.
Ezra, when I collected it. Great when hooking on the trailer. I'm glad you've got your job.
Telephone staff. Very obliging when I booked the trailer and then had to postpone it for a week. I do think that you should collect as much information as possible over the phone. Drivers license details, registration of towing vehicle etc. To save time when collecting the hire.
Website. OK. It says you can return the trailer to another branch but does not mention that there is a fee for that or what the fee would be. You get to the branch and there's a sign saying there is a fee. You list your address as Great South Road but actually the entrance is on Holloway Place.
Checkout. Slower than expected. I expected to produce my license but everything else should have been collected over the phone.
Closing time. Should be consistent across 7 days. I realise that the bulk of your business is corporate but 4pm is early for a Saturday/Sunday. Kennards 5pm 7 days.
The trailer seemed in good shape but a little dirty for household moving.
After hours service. They knew the cost of a callout but had no idea of any extra cost to return the trailer in the morning.
Overall. 4 out of 5. Would use again.

I have hired twice from Penrose Hirepool and had different people both times. On both occasions, the help has been excellent. Highly recommended and keep up the great work.

Love this place and feel like a kid in a candy store.lots of big adults tools to take and try out. From small sanders to masive diggers whatever you need for your next building or renovation they have what you will need. Good value, and in great condition.

Their website is not a booking site, they take your money, then they check whether they have vehicles. They call you few hours later if the vehicle is unavailable and you have to wait for them to refund and cancel the charges. The person on the phone is unprofessional and really should have some customer service training. Will avoid the entire brand because of this experience.

Fast services and had trailer I needed to move house. They were accomidating for extra day also.

Received excellent customer service today (from Chris I think). Super helpful organising a generator for my mum (which I know absolutely nothing about). Clear and easy instructions. She's so happy to have power again after 3 days. Thanks!

Hirepool have great gear to hire. There staff are always hopeful and easy to get on with. They are a heaps better than most hire company to deal with.
