Hospice Shop reviews
48 Such a huge store filled with all sorts of interesting goodies. Cups, crockery, pots & pans, glassware, cutlery & household bric-a-brac. Bedding, jigsaw puzzles, art work & paintings. Shoes, clothing,
My friend bought a small yellow retro vase for $2.
I bought a margarita glass $1, a small tin bucket 2.50c and a coffee cup $3.50.
Bargains galore. Antiques, retro, new & pre-loved
Great value for your money if you're after cool, real quality pre-loved items. Name it they have it and at a give away price. All hail Hospice Shop.
Good prices but mean staff. The ladies at the counter. Three of them. All mean. The goods are good though. Excuse the pun.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$ OVERPRICED Shop, this people is not helping the community have a look for an example how many months they have the same amount of furniture that they want to sell overprice. Is not charity. Someone needs to do something for this store.
I took some good here today to donate them - the lady who received them at the back of the store was lovely and welcoming. The kids wanted to have a look in the store and ended up buying some toys. The lady that served us was so friendly. Noticed a good selection of frames and furniture in store. They also had many clothes, although I didn’t look at them.
My son and I visited the store in Elice rd today and asked if there was any price negotiation on a massage chair my son wanted to buy. I got a very nasty look from the guy that prices and he said "nah.thats why its this price "
I then asked how many days to return if it didnt work "
He then spat out" 2"
If it was me I would have walked out.
We Found out later The chair was was priced close to retail
What is going on with the management of this store?
Rude staff.
I have spend alot of money and spare time volunteering my services in shops so this came as a shock. This is certainly NO way to treat customers and this one dosnt deserve my time or business.
Goodbye!
Gem of a store, cant fault always walk out of here with handful of items and a huge smile on my face. Been coming here for years!
We went to this charity shop today to donate some of our stuff and was treated by a male who was so rude.
We understand that some of the stuff that we took to the store might have not been what the shop needed/wanted but still went with the thought that it’ll be worth to ask the shop first.
We sacrificed our time, energy and fuel yet the person who looked at our stuff said it was ‘filthy’. It clearly was not damaged or anything and it was NOT filthy because we ended up finding a person who wanted to buy it off Facebook market. But even if it WAS filthy, they shouldnt have said it like that to someone who simply wanted to share.
Also, we said we bought some stuff from this store that was not as good as the furniture we brought today. AND they said ‘you shouldnt have bought it then. ’ They clearly missed the point. We were not there to complain about our previous purchase but just wanted to ask again if they really don’t want to take it. But what the staff said is rude and that is not an attitude you should have as someone who wants to help others.
We understand that they were a volunteer and dont get paid for this but noone forced them to be there anyways. So if you are there, you should treat the people who come to the store with appropriate manners.
Again, it’s fine our stuff got rejected because the shop would have their own requirements of accepting goods as they do not want to be overwhelmed with unnecessary goods. Totally understand. But, the behaviour of your staff needs a lot of improvement. This is just so rude, we are so offended and we are never donating anything to this store in the future.
Wonderful shop but only visit in the weekend as you just can’t find a park during the week! Wish they stayed in Forrest Hill, was a better warehouse then. Lots of parking.
They dont test their video games fully, they only power them on, both of the playstation controllers were faulty one had analog stick drift, other just didnt go.and the xbox 360 had a disc drive jammed so unable to insert disc to play game
Staff were passive aggressive and pretty reluctant to give a fair partial refund on faulty electronics being sold. She also said i had 48 hours to return when this would have fallen over Christmas, then i came in after they had opened up after their break, so its meant to be my fault they are closed, and that upon furthur testing of the bulk bundle during this period there were furthur faults with the bulk video game console bundle which i paid $190 which was probably almost more than its worth anyway. I have dealt with video games for nearly 20 years now so i know.
Great shop overall im not saying dont go here but honest loyal customers could be treated a bit better yuno.
These guys do a great job for our community. Always keen to assist whether it's receiving or selling 2nd hand goods. Moving house - give them a call.
This one out of the 4 in this area is my favourite. Quality stuff and great high end clothing at a bargain price.good old North Shore.people seriously have way to much money in this area.as can be seen from these bargains I picked up.
Weekends are super busy and parking is horrendous but worth the effort. Love the 50c handbag area the most.
The sign said $3 for a women's top but tried to charge my friend $6 we talked to the lady at the counter and was not friendly, both of them weren't, was sad I usually love op shopping
This is NOT an opportunity shop. This is a regular shop with regular pricing and 'experts' who price their items at normal resale price and sometimes even first hand price. It's disgusting to call this a charity store. When you have broken and dirty items for their original buying prices. You are ripping regular people who use opportunity shops as a way to get items they couldn't usually afford at a shop brand new and you feel okay with yourselves for it. It's an absolute joke.
Very friendly staffs & lots of stuffs here to buy only parking problem need to be there before shop opens to get parking & I love to visit this place every week love everything sold in this shop
I got what I needed. Dining table, toaster, TV and a theater sound system. Thanks Hospice staff
They have some really nice items here with good prices (for the most part). Support this charity. I'm not sure why they got rid of ALL the parking along the side of the building, so now you have to park all the way in the back. It can be challenging if you have a lot of purchases.
Plenty of household items to select for budget conscious customers. Found some vintage tools for me.
I WOULD HAVE BEEN A LOT HAPPIER IF ALL THE COUNTER SERVING STAFF WERE WEARING MASKS AND ENSURING ALL WHO ENTERED WERE LOGGING IN THEIR NAMES AND PHONE NUMBERS I WILL NOT BE GOING AGAIN UNTIL THIS OCCURS
Organised, clean and tidy. Couple that with a wide range of product, makes for good shopping. This is further evidenced by the variety of customers. Come and see for yourself.
