Hospice Shop, Orewa reviews
9 Confused, disappointed and generally out of my depth. What happened to my famous, familiar op shop with a ramp going down to another level with great bargains? It all seemed wrong. Is this simple one level floor all that's left?
So disappointing. One less op shop to visit when in Orewa
One of the biggest second-hand stores in Orewa, however is very crowded in the clothing section, making it hard to move around. Don't bother going in when busy, as you won't be able to move. In addition, my grandmother loves crafts and sometimes needs a colour theme. When she asked to buy the jar of blue buttons she was told there was a limit on the amount she could purchase at one time, which seems silly in a charity shop that surely wants to make money for a good cause? Have managed to get some good things from the store though, and the staff are (usually) kind enough.
Very helpful smiling staff. I always leave feeling great. Great range of items, well worth a visit.
Great op shop and bargain at "OP SHOP" prices NOT like the other Hospice shops in Remuera whose prices are more like a boutique shop. Will be back again.
Well laid out store, great variety of clothes, books and household goods. Friendly helpful staff
It's well set out and really reasonable prices for good quality items. Books are only a couple of dollars. It has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Lots of treasures to be found.
Love this place! Friendly volunteers, nice atmosphere and organisation of goods, heaps of bargain clothes to look through and all for an amazing cause!
Lovely tidy shop.friendly shop people but, prices far too high. I bought 5 tea showers it cost $25 for all but to me that's outrageously high.
Fantastic place. Huge range of used clothing, books and magazines, dvdz, furnishings and kitchen gear, crockery and glassware, and electrical goods. Stock constantly changing. Wonderful cheery staff round off a friendly shopping experience. I bought cds (all in good condition), a book and a couple of items from the $1 box. Can't leave this place without spending a dollar or two on something useful.
