Jamaica Blue reviews
45I needed something nutritious after a long drive so ordered the veg burger and a latte. For $22 the burger was overpriced, but had it been scrumptious I would have been happy to pay. Unfortunately, the veg pattie nearly broke my teeth, it was so hard, and I wondered if it had been left in the freezer too long. There wasn't much in it apart from a tiny dob of avo, a little mayo, minimal lettuce and a thin slice of tomato. It was accompanied by a smattering of fries spread across the plate and a tiny bit of tomato ketchup. The buns tasted fresh, but overall, it was one of the worst burgers I've had, the price making it even more outrageous. The coffee was just average and on the weaker side. I was hugely disappointed, as I've found other Jamaica Blue cafes pretty consistent in the past. I would recommend that they take a look at their menu and concentrate on doing the things they know they can do well and eliminating the rest. Food, 1 star. An extra star for the environment of the cafe itself, which was pleasant.
Always pop in here for a coffee when in the area for work. Great coffee, price and friendly staff too
Nice place to have a coffee, snack and a chat, in a busy mall it's nice to have a quiet cafe to escape to.
Went in with my in laws and they really like this place, the food was great and the service was awesome, will go back again
Why are all the cafes in northwest hugely overpriced with mediocre service and food? My coffee here cost $8 and I left half of it there because it wasn't nice
Coffee felt rather bland with their signature blend, just like water. Service seems okay, premises and decor look good though.
I find this cafe a little expensive for what you get but then everything is going up! It's a fairly quiet cafe, which is great for a moment with a fairly good coffee!
I was a bit disappointed with the Eggs Benedict and coffee. For the price the quality was good but very skimpy. Especially the thin and small slices of bread. The coffee was lukewarm.
Stopped for lunch today. JB burger and a Peri Peri chicken burger came with the nicest crinkle crisp chips we’ve had. Absolutely lovely and very filling. Won’t have breakfast first next time. Staff always very obliging. Thanks Jamaica Blue?
I had a cheese scone. Very dry, crumbly they only gave me 1 small butter no way enough for that size scone Will not go back
I have been to this cafe many times, it seems to depend on which day you go and which staff are working, some days the food and service are good, other days with different staff the same order is much more expensive and the food not up to standard.
Loved it, beautiful coffee, amazing muffins, the only thing i didn't like was the dirty floors and staff standing around on their mobile phones
NorthWest Branch - Service exceptional. Food tasty & excellent. Especially the chicken crepes. Coffee faultless. Tables cleaned quickly plus nice ambience.
Service was really good, ice coffee was good, cookies and cream cheese cake amazing. You get a free slice on your birthday if you have a card too.
Friendly service, good coffee and my BLAT looked attractive on the plate and tasted just as good. Would happily return.
Wat a great change had the ham croissant lots of ham an chees absolutely lovly.salmon bagle so much salmon yummy as definitely going back there
Quiet! More than likely due to covid coz any normal day they are busy busy busy.good service great food
First time at Jamaican Blue with my two kids, meeting up with my cousins and mum. Ordered my kids meals, cheese burger, fish n chips, milkshakes, chips with aioli, coffee, passion fruit cake. Total $60. Reasonable pricing, the quality of the food however is shocking, so shocking I had to ask the waiter if he was missing another piece of fish. Kids fish n chips - $12 came with 1 small battered fish as short as my index finger, the width of my two fingers connected together and about 10 chips. I get this is not fine dining in Parnell, this is North West - for a new mall should have higher standards. Cheese burger was also $12 - came with two mini burgers and some chips - that’s acceptable and worth it. Chips came with 6-7 dark brown burnt pieces and no aioli. Kids Milkshakes both came in chipped glass bottle. The neck of it was chipped and sharp. Shaking my head. Nevermind the price, the quality of food is below average. One poor waiter serving everybody. I didn’t cook a stink, he knew I wasn’t happy about the one fish finger. We won’t be meeting in this place again unfortunately
Carrot cake wasvery dry and crumbled doesn't taste good a week old cake may be.
Regards
Pamela
