We got combination bbq, pancake, cold noodles, and chicken stew for 6 girls, we’re chocka and the food is absolutely the best I’ve had in a while

Quite slow service but very yummy food that more than made up for it. Staff were friendly too.

First year in New Zealand. I really, really wanted to eat bean noodles, but they only sell it hereㅜㅜ It was so, so delicious The bean noodles they sell even in winter are so precious? I enjoyed it so much. The side dishes and atmosphere were like that of a high-end Korean restaurant. It was my first time here, but I frequented it often. I think it will come! The owner was also kind and kept bringing me side dishes when I didn't have enough. Thank you for the delicious food.

A spacious restaurant that serves authentic Korean food. There are the cheaper and tasty meals that will fill your tummy, if you have a more generous budget, the bbq would be a good option.

The service is good too, although some of the people don’t understand English very well, just need to speak closer and a bit patient when ordering.

The service was excellent, the food arrived fast and was delicious. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful.

We had the most incredible meal at Jami last night, we ordered a range of meat for Korean BBQ, and had the honour of the head chef serving us. He explained the different cuts, some of which we had never heard, and how to best eat them. It was truly a special, gourmet experience. I can't wait to go back, highly recommended.

Used to be my most favorite Korean restaurant, and introduced it to all of my friends but I think I would not go there again.
Now food downsized by 1/3 which means pricing is not reasonable.
We totally understand this is a busy site, but the elder waitress kept ignoring us on purpose which is really disappointed.

We really enjoyed our Korean BBQ meal at this restaurant. Marinated beef, pork belly, eel - it was all delicious. If you do not know this type of meal, it comes with some side dishes of vegetables and salads (some are pickled), garlic, sauce and is served with tea. The room was not smokey at all and we were grateful for the attention of the staff, especially the cook, who was kindness itself. The BBQ is a tasty and healthy meal which I recommend but they also had other dishes and soups on offer.

Tried this place as friends visiting wanted Korean food. I thought food was okay although on the pricey side. Service was so so. Staff never returned to check if we need anything after serving the food. Not sure how they allot side dishes as our bill was over $250 for 7 people but we only got 2 sets of side dishes so there wasn't enough. It was worth a try but maybe won't be back again.

Always a joy coming here to eat. Too quality food and amazing service! One of my favorites Korean places on the shore!

If you are looking premium Korean BBQ spot near Wairau Valley then this is the place for you. All the banchan (side dishes) there was really solid. Nothing to complain about. Korean BBQ uses a charcoal grill which takes your normal KBBQ to the next level. The BBQ meat was also really high quality.
Overall KBBQ food rating: 7.8/10

First time diners, trying Korean BBQ. If there were 10 stars I would give them - this place is totally awesome! Warm ambience and kind, humble and attentive staff and service, nothing is a problem here. Top quality meat (we had the Wagyu and the marinated beef short rib) with incredible flavours and sides, cooked on traditional coals at your table. Recommend without hesitation)

Can't find any other restaurant with a very polite manner like this. All staff and the owner are very attentive to customer's needs. The spicy grilled pork, fish roe soup and spicy chicken taste wonderful. The staff constantly checked on my table and others on small details like making sure we didn't burn the food on a hot plate.

I don’t know why but now their portion sizes are really really small. I feel like I need to order 2 serves of soup to make me full…. ️ It’s not worth the money.

I used to like their food and service for the past few years. But apparently they changed the portion of food and lowered food and the service quality so much that I decided not to go anymore.

We, 5 members of family visited here after the long day of busy Friday. We are very satisfied with their tasty food n service. Very authentic Korean food, n most of the food seems to be made in the house. Highly recommending n we are definitely coming here again.

First time I wished there were more stars to give! Superb dinner experience. Best Korean BBQ I've had. And the meat is top quality, you can really taste it. Very welcoming service, we were blown away by the attention and care. What a great place!
