The food matches the prices, although the staff are excellent. Proportionally, what you save in cost you lose in quality. And the food here isn’t THAT cheap.

It’s better to spend ~50% more and go to another Japanese restaurant in the city; there are many, and most are good.

Had the teriyaki salmon donburi to takeaway two nights in a row while staying at the neighbouring hotel. Huge serving of salmon, three times as much as I'd get in my hometown. I'm not sure how they provide such generous servings for such a good price. Tasty, fresh food and friendly service. Don't think there's be much in the way of atmosphere if you're dining in but amazing takeaways.

Super chill place and the food is amazing, massive portion sizes for the price, and a large is only 0.50c more than a regular. Cool little student deals too and being so close to UOA it’s a great idea to come here.

Very authentic Japanese family style curry on the rice.

Japanese curry is very mild with heaps of vegetables and fruits as the based ingredients.

Even kids love to eat Japanese curry.

Most impressive is this restaurant is so cheap, $7 you get yourself a yummy Japanese curry rice bowl which you can't find anywhere else in Auckland.

I believe it's one of the best and cheapest Japanese cousin you can get from Auckland. I ordered teriyaki salmon donburi, and it's just so delicious. Salmon is tender and juicy. I a little bit regret I didn't try the curry yet. Will definitely try it next time.

All the curry menus from this place is delicious, value priced and they are maintain good in quality. I have been buying curry on rice from this place for more than 2 and a half years now! Love this store?

You just won't find food this cheap anywhere. For under $10, it's a quick lunch and fairly delicious for the price

I left a 5 star review in 2019 and I've gone regularly to You for the last 3 years. The food is consistently awesome. The standard Japanese Curry Rice is tasty and inexpensive. Exploring the menu is great and I highly recommend the Chicken Katsudon with Egg or the Tempuradon.

Great curry, very cheap prices. Perfect if you want an affordable and casual lunch. Portions are well sized. Bring your own bag if taking out.

This Japanese restaurant has been our favorite one ever since. Not only because of its great taste but also its cheap price, and above all, because of its wonderful service. Me and my wife used to go there at least twice a week before lockdown. Always kind people, giving us free croquettes. Now we are glad it's open again, only take way though. Keep up the good work guys, we will support you as always.
