Great to see a NZ family owned and operated construction business that has been around since 1938.

""Success Through Satisfied Customers"

Having worked within high end Sales, Project Management & Business Development within Interiors, Furniture & the Built environment for over 20 years in Melbourne & Sydney Australia along with New Zealand it is an absolute honour to be part of our trusted, honest and professional team here at Keith Hay. What can I say but that a company that has been in operation since "1938" must be doing something right.

I have been waiting since March 2016 to have a house built and now 2017 when Keith Hay have told me it is ready. I have just found out that it has so many defects it unbelievable. They have the nerve to asked for the final payment on a property that is in such a state. More to come!

Keith Hay Homes shook our hands took our money and never delivered what they promised. I hope some one will read this and not go through the stress we have. I do not expect to hear from David or Mathew Hays they have never followed through on any thing they have said they would do. I wonder how Sir Keith would feel if he saw the company he started now rips off pensioners. If I can save one couple from what we have gone through I will post on every social network I can. Be a real company Keith Hay Homes and start honouring the contracts you sign your guarantee is not worth the paper its written on

Hi Helen we have experienced the same issues as you with Keith Hay Homes here in Christchurch. This is obviously a Nation wide problem with this company and it comes from the top i.e. David Hay. He certainly has a lot to answer for but is so weak he won't even answer our solicitors emails. The promises made and never kept, an unfinished home, and a broken contract on many levels. We too are in our later years and have been totally mislead and ripped off. We are in contact with others in Christchurch with similar issues with this company. David knows the system and know how to work it against clients. They are the most dysfunctional company around.

I have had the same experience from Keith Hay hamilton branch told us anything to get the sale took our money and then never did a single thing they said 3-4 months for a house and that is the only reason we signed with them - now still not finished 7 months on and we don't even have a hand over date anymore the last one was 10 days ago. David Hay pretty much told us too bad they are busy and they offered us the same house a month late but we would have to pay another $28'000! We are a young family purchasing our first home with 3 young kids have been living in a studio cabin with no power or wastewater which the rental has now runtil out and are pretty much homeless in winter in Taupo! I wish I had have read the above reviews and saved myself alot of stress and money!
