Horrible experience from this company. Got a key cut from Ranvi Newmarket Keytronics. Key not fit for purpose, does not work. Went back in again, once again the key does not work. Now they refuse to refund me. Called the customer service line 0800 number and the employee is verbally abusive, calls me deaf after asking him how to spell his name (It's not a common name) I DO NOT RECCOMEND DEALING WITH THIS BUSINESS. Will, be going through other methods to get my money back. And taking this further. It's not acceptable for a business to engage with a customer in this manner.

Update:
Replying to comment below. This business wants me to spend more money to travel and take my time for their failure to deliver a service.
You have stated that I don't return the key? Incorrect. I have stated over the call that I can return the key provided you cover the cost of transport and other associated costs with me bringing this faulty key back to you.

Below is a extract from the CGA regarding services that have a substantial problem, I suggest you familiarize yourself with it.
"In addition to these rights, consumers may also claim for any reasonably foreseeable extra loss that results from the initial problem. " If you dont understand what this means, I'll make it simple for you. You delivered a unusable goods/service. Any costs directly incurred by me as a result of this failure can be directly billed to you. If you want this faulty key returned to you, you will cover the complete cost and organise any collection. Not me.

You should ask to pick up the key on the first instance instead of asking me to come for the 2nd time to the store to return the key.

And by any means, asking a customer "Are you deaf? " when they ask you over the phone how to spell your name is verbally abusive, you can't tell me otherwise.

STOP! Do not use these guys, they have no clue what they are doing and the person tasked to my job couldn't even pick a lock, I only needed a key cut but the fella pulled the whole dash apart (didn't even put it back together to complete) which took good part of an hour just to be told they can't do the job, then asked ME to remove my boot lock, I obliged, then they took it away and left me in suspense for nearly 5 hours with my car completely open an in pieces, and that's just the start of it. I ask for timed payment options which they have and was told a surcharge is to be paid in order to use that service and that payment option, then proceeded to pay. They actually added the entire bill to the surcharge (that was for credit pay only). No one's given me any assistance on returning the surcharge OR rectifying the payment plan (afterpay) which was the method of payment I had asked for and the only reason I called them for the job.

If they rectify there mistake I will update my post.

Good day to you all out there an hope this saves you from a similar situation

Quick service, didn't expect work done on the weekend as my job wasn't that urgent. Price wise for the job i felt a little high although need to account for travel i guess. Otherwise good job indeed. Would recommend and i will use again. Thanks.

Terrible experience, I was having to follow up constantly as never heard back when told they would contact me by. Prepayment was made for a certain amount of hours of labor and less labor was required for the job and now being refused a refund of this additional hour even with proof provided of this. Gone silent. Very disappointing and upsetting. Will not be using again!

Took a bit before they answered my phone call on the 0800 number, but once connected good communication and could track locksmith until he reached site. Locksmith explained procedure and cost. Needed to tidy up site afterwards. Tricky job I think overall but happy with outcome.

Been charged 20 bucks for changing a 9 dollar car key battery without prior notice of that charge, lucky I asked for the ticket. Apart from that the service is good but Its just annoying to leave the shop feeling I you got ripped off. I told the manager that's its not normal to charge customers unannounced charges but he didn't seem to give a toss

I don't mind paying a fitting service but it's the lack of transparency that annoys me

They used a Subaru blank key to make a cut for my Toyota. 1 year later my locks are stuffed and Armstrongs informs me that these guys used the wrong blank and that it damaged my locks and then recharged me to have the correct blank key cut.

I would not recommend them at all. I would recommend else where or Armstrongs Greenlane.
