Went here with a friend for dinner on a Saturday night and it was so good!
The guy serving us was so friendly and accommodating. He had a smile on his face and seemed like a genuinely kind person.
The cocktails I had were amazing and the food came out pretty quickly after we ordered. I like how they have individual plates set on the tables and you can just order a few things off the menu and grab a bit of each for your plate.
The food was amazing! It was so flavourful and vegan!
My friend eats meat and even he said that he really enjoyed the "chicken" and that it was hard to tell it wasn't real.
All in all, really great place to dine. Great service, great food and vegan. You couldn't ask for more than that!

Food was so fresh and tasty. Fave was the kumara spring rolls. Great customer service aswell. Would definitely recommend coming here.

I have been vegan for 10 years and this is one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve ever eaten at.
The food is delicious and so full of flavour. The staff were super friendly and accommodating especially Hannah who went above and beyond to provide the most amazing service to us. Couldn’t recommend this place more. An absolute gem.

Everything tasted fine. They tried but can definitely tell it's not meat in both texture and taste. The most interesting was the faux pork belly.

I would like to update my review to reflect the subsequent conversation I had with the founder. He reached out to me, genuinely apologized, and provided me with an opportunity to express my concerns regarding what went wrong. I appreciate that the owner took the time to address my concerns and apologize for the inconvenience caused. While the experience itself was disappointing, the subsequent conversation with the owner has shown me that they value their customers' feedback.

We made a reservation for a group of four, but two of us arrived 20 minutes late. The other two were already there, and when the latecomers arrived, the waitress told us we had to give up the table in one hour. We agreed, but then she kept coming over to remind us three to four times during that hour. It was beyond annoying because we had already agreed to leave on time.

Honestly, it was frustrating as hell. We had already worked it out, and her constant reminders just ruined the whole dining experience. We wanted to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed, but she made sure to interrupt us every chance she got.

When you've already agreed to a time restriction, you shouldn't have to put up with someone constantly reminding you. So disappointed.

Went with a large party and seriously could not fault them. The food was great! The staff were amazing! Helpful friendly and helped with the The birthday cake that we brought along. Loved the atmosphere warm friendly. Highly recommended Khu Khu Posonby!

Don’t waste your time and money coming here. Never heard of a bottomless where you have 2 drinks in the span of 1 hour and a half. Never again… RIDICULOUS!

The food and level of service at Khu Khu is excellent, my girlfriend and I always enjoy our time there. The 'Yum Gai Zap' crispy "chicken" is the top pick for me so far.

Don't be fooled by the "Eatery" in the name. This is top quality food nicely presented in an intimate and pleasant atmosphere. Small menu but top notch. Absolutely loved it. And if you are not vegan, don't worry. Give it a go. You will love it too. Staff is great too. Great dude that front of the house guy. And we had a nice chat with the restaurant owner. Such a great addition to Ponsonby Rd.

Simply the best vegan restaurant in Auckland.
Michael and his team have designed an amazing menu (with often new dishes to try). I often take non vegan friends and don't even tell them they are not eating "real" meat. The Pork Belly and the chicken are fantastic.
You cannot leave without trying a Khu Khu Cookie
The team will always greet you with a smile. And their Instagram account always highlight new meals and events like Tarot reading or Poetry happening at Khu Khu: all that for a very good price

We've been here twice in the past year and have to say, it's underwhelming. Most dishes are too sweet and the cocktails aren't anything to write home about; usually tasting too much like the wrong thing. The lychee cocktail just tastes like coconut, and the driver is apparently too salty.

If you do go, we've found the fake-duck and the fake-beef massaman are pretty decent. Outside of that, good luck.

Definitely the best Vegan upmarket food experience. Everything is incredibly tasty and beautifully presented.
Great selection on the menu, it is hard to choose. We had the shared platter for two which was a lovely combination of
Entrée, two mains, and dessert all this for a very reasonable price. The beef curry was absolutely delightful, you wouldn’t know that it is vegan.
Same with the rainbow cheesecake, hard to believe that it is not dairy.
The service is excellent, lovely friendly atmosphere. Couldn’t fault anything at all. 10 out of 10
We will definitely go back again and highly recommended to Vegans and non-Vegans.

My partner & I LOVE this place!
I ate sweet and sour chicken for the first time and fried daikon - beyond impressed! All of their mocks meats had us sitting in disbelief! The best Thai food I've ever had

Always love asking our table server for their cocktail recommendation: the watermelon cocktail was perfection!

The dessert options are all vegan too with inshore cookies available! Also, they have chopstick and forks on the table which is a grab option to have on the ready. They also have special events they host so its worth keeping an eye out on their socials.

Grab your family grab your friends Absolutely recommend - definitely book because they become max capacity even on a Wednesday!

Special shoutout to the owner and their amazing team! The girls who looked after us were outstanding and the chefs were pumping out the dishes SUPER fast even with a full restaurant!
