From the first stage of getting a quote to the final stages all the staff are highly professional but also hard case and very honest felt like we were being looked after throughout the whole process. When I renovated my home eight years ago, aluminium glazing was installed on all windows. On the southern side of the terrace house that faces one of Auckland's busier roads, the new windows were conventionally double glazed to minimise heat loss and traffice noise. The northern side was single glazed as I thought that would give the benefit of solar gain.
It did, but that also resulted in heat loss at night and bleaching of the furniture.
I emailed what I had been assured was the major metro supplier of retro-fitted double glazed aluminium windows. After several phone calls to them, they still hadn't visited to quote the job.
I then contacted Kiwi DG. What a difference! Steve immediately made an appointment and turned up on time. Because I couldn't pick up on the technicalities of the various options available, he carefully explained these; he couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. I also wanted the ground floor street facing kitchen window double glazing upgraded to a heavier laminated glass to deter intruders.
The installers did a great job - very fast and tidy work.
Then Steve rang back to check that the job was finished to my satisfaction. As a norm NZ businesses don't give that level of service.
Kiwi DG - you rock! Over 50 years I've renovated nine homes. Never before have I encountered such a high level of service as Kiwi DG deliver.
An added bonus that I didn't expect was the effect of having heavier laminated argon filled glass installed in the kitchen window. With the previous double glazing, there was a lower level of constant road noise.
After Kiwi DG installed their kit, road noise totally vanished. I'm waiting for a Harley Hog to go by, to see if it breaks the sound barrier.

Awesome bunch of guys to deal with. Fast, top quality work. We had an issue with some of the panes, where they had a manufacturing fault. They pointed it out to me and arranged replacements, even though I would never have known by looking at it that there was a fault. I really appreciate their honesty and willingness to do a good job. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process and their service is great value for money. Home is a lot warmer now, easier to heat and condensation has been eliminated. If you're looking to retro-fit your old window frames with double glazed windows, I highly recommend KDG.

The Kiwi DG team just finished the double-glazing of all windows in our house and I can honestly say they did a terrific job! The team that came out to do the work were professional, courteous, considerate, on-time and delivered what they said they would. The product is excellent, with a very noticeable improvement in the heat in the house and absolutely no more weeping windows. On very cold days, we have even seen the condensation on the outside, like we were told we might see. Overall, an excellent job done by the team and we're very happy with the outcome. Can strongly recommend them.

It has been a great expirence to deal with these guys, everything goes so smoothly, and after installed the double glazing, we can felt the different right way, the house now much warmer, and quieter, much appreacited for the great job you guys done! Highly recommend, A+.

We were very retrospective the merits of double glazing having received 1 quote prohibitive the second quote was a no show. Then Kiwi double glazing.
The initial consultation was on time offered good advice and recommended glass choice. This was followed the same day by an email price and contract. We requested a job reference which was a complete house retrofit. The inspected address carried out with the owner who was 100% satisfied with the job price and workmanship and install time.
As a result we proceeded and have now had the contract installed.
Result 100% satisfied with the quality of work installers and the time taken.

Great kiwi company, nice guys, we've had fantastic service. It worked out much cheaper and easier to retro fit our existing frames rather than get new joinery. It has made a big difference to keeping heat in our house. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending these guys.
