Kohi Fresh Fish & Takeaways

Cute little fish shop and great prices! We got 2 crumbed fish, a chips, 2 spring rolls, a toasty and a curry puff. The staff work so hard under the pump and are still really lovely!

It's cheap anyway. Traditional Fish & Chips at an amazing price. There are always people lining up in front of the store during lunch and dinner time. It's close to the sea, so it's a good place to buy some snacks and relax.

Always beautiful fresh snapper cooked to perfection.
Tried the fish burger tonight but requested snapper. It was superb and very reasonable.

I'd just like to say a HUGE thank you to the Shivani & team at Kohi Fish & Chips. Genuinely speaking, the crumbed snapper was by far the best I've had in a long time and there was a VERY generous helping of chips as well! Thank you guys for making my evening 100x better, I really really appreciate the yum dinnersee you guys very soon!

Soggy Chips, Not Crunchy & no salt.
One hour wait time and we get half a scoop of chips.
Fish burger was mostly batter not fish and had old lettuce in it.

Definitely not as good as it use to be.

I've now lived in Auckland for 7 years & randomly tried Kohi yesterday. Honestly the best Fish n Chips I've had since I've been here.
Owner gave me the choice of fish to have - I left it in her hands and wasn't disappointed! Had the crumbled terakihi, crumbed prawns & hot dog. Fish was so so juicy and flavoursome, as was the Prawn and remainder of meal.
I live 20 mins away but will definitely be back!

It can get quite busy sometimes, so not much space inside.everyone queues outside & fish abit pricier than most fish & chip shops too. No special meal packs like other fish & chips. But is convenient to beach & playgrounds so price reflects

Amazing service this week. I needed to feed 70 kids and parents on a school trip to Auckland. After I placed the order 24 hours before I needed it, I got a ph call to check the order. It was ready on time, and DELICIOUS. Really well cooked too. Lovely people to deal with. Carried the order out to the van. I was very impressed.

Great opportunity to have an outstanding fish n chip shop.but the batter on the expensive (but standard price) fish I brought out the window x5 was such a let down its to thick and oily needs a much lighter crisper batter then the shop will be a five star

WORST FISH AND CHIPS IN NZ!

I am a HUGE Fish and Chip enthusiast. I have been to over 200 Fish and Chip stores in NZ. This is the WORST!

The “fish” is literally almost ONLY batter! Very very thick doughy batter. Look at the photos i have taken. Eww!

Batter was very soft, no taste. I felt like i ordered fried bread, not fish! Terrible place.

Great food and service, will definitely be ordering here more often if I find myself in the location again. Thanks for the amazing time. Can't wait to try some more awesome beverages and try some different awesome options great location as well.

Nice food not the best but we may go back to give ith another try. Fries are so so and did not like the fact that they did not want to give extra mayo and ketchup it's ether or.

My wife and I have already agreed many times that their fish and chips have a unique taste from the rest. The price is not that bad either.

Completely agree with all the praise for the quality of the takeaways.
The queues outside are there for a reason.
The staff are very friendly. And helpful. I foolishly left my lights on while waiting for my order - the battery flattened. No problem - three staff, abandoning their cooking duties, produced jumper leads and got me going again.

Best value fish and chips ever! It is very very busy, over an hour wait on Fridays and Saturdays for a good reason. Two snappers, chips, crabstick and a hotdog for under $20!

Best fish and chips in the Bays. Fish is fresh and the chips are always golden yellow and crispy, what more could you want. Can be a long wait around dinner time so think 30-45 mins ahead, especially thursday-sunday.

My new favourite fish and chip shop. The quality of the food here is very good. Super fresh fish, decent portions and great chips. I order by phone in advance (a few hours beforehand) if I’m buying for a Friday night and then collect at the agreed time. It takes away the stress and drama of having to wait.
