K'ROAD MEDICAL CENTRE reviews
19I really liked that this medical center was available for appointments, when I needed a consultation. Dr. Chand is attentive, helpful and friendly, as well as the receptionists. I emailed with additional questions and got a quick response, which it also super nice!
You don't seem to exhibit genuine care for your patients. When we come to see you, we receive only a brief 2-minute consultation. It feels like you're eager for us to finish so you can move on. We're paying a significant amount, over $50 or more for this service, and we've visited numerous medical centers. We are aware of the level of service and professionalism that should be provided by a doctor. It's a reciprocal relationship - the level of care you provide directly impacts the trust and empathy we feel. Currently, it feels like we're the ones asking all the questions about our condition, but as a doctor, you should offer a more in-depth explanation so we can better understand our health. We're looking for guidance, not just a passive interaction where we listen without receiving insight or advice.
It's important not to spend your time being defensive and trying to identify which of your patients is expressing dissatisfaction. The reason behind the medical center receiving a three-star rating is because there are issues that need addressing. Consider how you can enhance your service quality, and it's crucial to respond to reviews in a professional manner.
Please do not go here. Dr Chand has no empathy for people with disabilities and she caused my brother with autism to be taken off the supported living payment benefit. She does not take time to listen to your concern and just makes assumptions based off a 2 minute check up.
When I explained the situation and pleaded for her to contact WINZ, she was very rude, unhelpful and condescending. Would not recommend to anyone. Trust all the other one star reviews.
Dr. Chand, she is our lifesaver! She realized my sweetie has an autism fast and then she mede a specialist’s appointment at Starship Children’s Hospital for us. She taught me about family support, a disability child allowance, a lot. This is very important things, I understand her kind explanations perfectly because her patiently until I fully understands. Thank you for every time, everything. We love you so much from bottom of our hearts Dr. Chand (CoCo)
My name is Nora Titzoff I visit family in eastern europe, you people have no idea how good you have. In my country only very rich can afford health care. To tarnish business because you had waiting longer than expect is not good reason I think. Dr. Chand is good doctor.
Absolutely worst experience i've had. Out of 53 reviews Dr Chand has 25 ONE STAR REVIEWS! Some people saying she ruins lives! OUTRAGEOUS!
That's an absurd number but for good reason.
Not only did her receptionist Courtney condescendingly expect and suggest I should call HER back to find out if I could get a referral but Dr Chand was absolutely so rude after giving me a diagnosis I didn't need.
I wasn't listened to in my appointment and I left feeling condescended to and uneasy.
I told Chand I needed to see an specialist for my issue and not a nurse and when I did as she said anyhow, The nurse I saw then said I didn't need to see them regarding the issue, Thank goodness the nurse didn't charge me.
Chand further went on to challenge me when I called.back to get the referral I originally asked for when I was speaking only facts she became highly defensive for no reason spouting on about her personal endeavours as an ENT.
My issue isn't predominantly with the mistake she made or the diagnoses but how it was handled and the administration and as A BDM I can tell you first hand K'road medical is just a mess.
They still use old and antiquated filing systems and their website is rubbish and as you can tell by the unprofessional response FROM K Road medical to the other one of many 1 star reviews before me there is PLENTY of Ego here and no willingness to take accountability so beware.
I should have known better than to see a Dr at that terrible location in that terrible place that looks like it's a time travel back to the 70's. You get what you pay for.
My advice is stay far away.
UPDATE 06/10/2022: As you can see below she again unprofessionally responded lol There is no "other side" to the story. I was polite, I left and came straight to this complaint station lol Absolute trash.
First time they allowed me to come in and bring my son yet it was last minute! Again they never fail to help me after I had called my own gp who said for me to wait an hour for a call back and I said he needed to be seen as he was at the gp and transferred to starship hospital two weeks ago back here again they are willing to help ️
Worst experience ever. Dr Chand was very rude and did not show any empathy towards patient or caregiver who are going through a difficult time in their life.
We did not get any help from this medical centre. But we were charged $55 for being scolded by her.
Her attitude and what she told us were very hurtful.
*edit: the medical centre just replied that we have not met but we have! I even have the receipt with me just in case this happens
Great doctors, both doctor and receptionist are super friendly. Been going for a year now and have never had any issues
Really lovely staff, the girl at reception was so kind and the doctor I saw was very helpful too. Thanks for the great experience
I was so disappointed at the service, no professionals over there, especially a receptionist was rude and didn't know how to deal with difficult situations. I wouldn't come back again or recommend it either. I've already applied for a new GP.
Dr Chand has been my doctor for 6 years now, and she is great. She’s easy to talk to, very welcoming and makes me feel comfortable. The reception staff are also lovely.
Been there few months ago with my daughter
Shocked with the attitude of the Doctor, would not recommend this clinic whatsoever
Looking at the reviews, I am reassured this clinic needs some reassessment
Some 3 years ago I made a decession to change doctors, in disscussion with a college who works for WDHB Dr Chand was recommended due to her experience not only as a GP but her understanding of addiction. I am 62 years of age and have now been in recovery approx 9 years.
From my very 1st visit and introduction to K Rd medical centre I have continuously been made to feel important but also treated with respect and dignity, treatment never displayed by my previous Dr.
In late January I was diagnosed with major heart problems and underwent open heart surgery on 26/3/20. I believe if it had not been for Dr Chands foresight and immediate actions in arranging my surgery I may not have been here today.
Not only did Dr Chand and her team guide my through this ordeal in a loving and caring manner but her continued follow up post surgery has made the whole experience so much more bearable. Courtney continues to follow up within 24 hours after each appointment to this very day, not often can I say someone has exceeded my expectations but Dr Chand and her team do this on every occassion.
If your looking for a doctor that goes beyond their duty of care look no further.
Thankyou Dr Chand & your team.
Regards
Peter Dawson
Great team at krd medical, Dr Chand has always taken the time to explain and inform in a language I understand, I can not speak highly enough of Doctor Chand. Highly recommended
I am the Director/Founder of The Turning Point (TTP) we are are Drug and Alcohol rehabilitation centre here in Auckland, as part of the service we offer a residential/community based detox along with a rehabilitation program.
Our medical team comprises of 2 contracted registered senior nurses who are both also contracted to the WDHB working at Pitman house on a regular basis and Dr Chand. The Turning Point NZ has now been operating some 8 years in the feild of addictions.
Dr Chand has now been associated with TTP for approx 3 years and has become a valued member of our team with her many years of addiction experience at all times she has displayed compassion & empathy towards our guests and at all times prescribed in a responsible manner.
Our guesst have come love and respect Dr Chand along with Courtney in reception who always has a smile on her face warmly welcoming us each time we visit.
From us all here at TTP we would just like to thank you Dr Chand & Courtney and look forward to our ongoing relationship in the years to come.
I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Chand and her team.

I had to attend Dr. Sulochana (my registered Dr.) this morning as I was referred by my midwife for High Blood Pressure and just to have it checked.
As I was leaving, I was trying to be charged $48 by the receptionist.
I explained why I was there and being a NZ pregnant woman I don’t pay.
We (receptionist and I) proceeded to the Doctors office asking why I had to pay and she said that this was a consultation and I’d be charged for it.
I tried to tell her what I had told the receptionist and she so very condescendingly replied:
“What is a consultation, Aimèe”.
I replied:
“Most certainly not this as it’s a referral from my midwife”.
I was shocked at her reply and she continued to say for me to take my invoice to my midwife for her to deal with.
I told her I would most certainly not take it to my midwife to deal with and I left her office!
I am shocked and so upset at how me and my unborn baby were treated, especially being there for HIGH BP.
It most definitely got higher as I left!
I was sent to a health care professional and this is how matters are dealt with? !
I will most definitely be taking this matter further as my baby and I deserve a lot more respect from a Professional Doctor!
I came from a reference from another medical provider, I was able to get a consultation on the same day, there were only a few minutes delay from my booked consultation time. Dr Chand was very though and quickly agreed with my prognosis and after tests referred a medical remedy. I was quickly repaired and could only recommend to the highest level the service and quality of this medical centre.
I’ve been bringing my children for years Dr Chand is excellent! Super kind, thorough and knowledgeable. And as it’s free for children it’s a godsend for poorer families.
