37 Fantastic local Restaurant
Just what we need in Mairangi Bay
Great food with a fantastic menu and the cocktails amazing
It was so good last night we will.
See you again tonight
Fantastic food here and the owners are so lovely. We are lucky to have this place so close.
Love the onion bhaji
Really great food and service with a smile. Some of the most flavourful Indian food we have had in a while.
The food they serve is exceptional, anything I tried was simply delicious! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They have the biggest variety of cocktails I have ever seen in an indian resto and the cocktails were spot on. The bartender was even so kind to make few on a special request- can’t wish for a better service!
PS! Can’t stop thinking about those tasty lamb chops.
The worst meal I ever bought!
Choke Ki Tikka: was meant to be potato was not anything like potato tasted like cardboard.
Lamb seeks kebab: was just sausage meat.
Roti: stale and old like rubber.
All food was Luke warm
I threw it all away!
Shame on this restaurant and people who own it!
We had the butter chicken there, it's alright but it wasn't amazing. There nan bread was good but VERY over priced, the are better options for food in mairangi Bay
Eaten here several times, food always excellent with very good service, good value for money.
Hi Kumaoni. First time I've tried your curry tonight. What an absolute pleasure! I've eaten at practically every curry resteraunt in the Albany, Browns Bay, Mairangi Bay area but this was hands down the best curry I've eaten in a long long time. There's so many generic tasting curry places out there but yours was beatifully cooked, lovely cuts of meat, freshly spiced and wonderfully garnished, like a proper chef has actually put true care into it. Generous portions too. We usually have leftovers, but it's all gone, couldn't stop eating it. Great naan's too. Look forward to trying the rest of your menu, and thank you.
Bad service.
The first time we went in, no one greeted us at all. My family and I waited 10 minutes, calling out to them. No one came at all, everyone was in the back. No one greeted us, thats fine, but no one came to the front at all to take our order. We ended up having to leave and go somewhere else.
The second time we tried online ordering, but the guy at the front was on his phone the whole time, didn’t greet us and continued calling someone.
Rang up for a phone order because of the offer of free delivery within 5kms for over $40, Ordered three meal items and then told no delivery due to staffing issues and to collect in 40 minutes. Reluctantly agreed to collect. I drove to the restaurant and my wife went in to collect. They had no record of the order and did not even offer an apology! WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! Would recommend the Cinnamon Club in Murrays bay over this lot,
We ordered Chicken tikka and chicken saagwala curry. Chicken tikka was fantastic and received good portions. Chicken saagwala curry was a bit too oily but overall, the quality is good
I visit this restaurant every week. I always have Goat curry with Naan bread. It’s really delicious. I can suggest anyone to have any food if they want to have any Indian food. It’s really worth for money & time. And I’m still coming here. And I will come in future as well. Thanks to the team for this restaurant
We’ve eaten in and take away. Usually great but tonight soooo over salted - chicken tikka and prawn tandoori- couldn’t eat! Please improve!
We had given a small catering order and had ordered multiple dishes from them and everything was so amazing and unique. For gravy, ordered chicken l kadai, prawn masala and paneer kadai. All 3 tasted really good. Prawn masala was the highlight though. They are quite reasonable and they delivered right at the door step and on time. Their services are too and are very professional. I would highly recommend to try them once for sure, you will not be disappointed.
Delicious Lamb Madras and Butter Chicken; best around, seemed very fresh, lamb was super tender. Helpful friendly staff, we'll definitely be back.
Chef has changed recently, not as good as it used to be unfortunately. Such a shame, was a gem. I’d love to know where the chef went!
I am absolutely speechless, I have eaten from hundreds of Indian restaurants but this restaurant takes 1st place. Not only are there prices the cheapest on the shore but their food is quality. I have now tryed over 12 meals from the menu and everything was amazing. I also recommend dineing in as the service is top notch and super quick.
The more we explore we got more delicious food. We really love this place and the people very friendly.
Firstly, May I say the staff are brilliant. They found us a brilliant little table for a 10 way romantic meal (which was absolutely delicious) I would highly recommend the Rogan Josh, hot hot hot!
This has got to be the best butter chicken on the shore. Generous portions, flavorful dishes, nicely done rice, good all round meals. Also, takeaway mains are $15 which is lower than other neighboring Indian restaurants that thinking $17-$20 is reasonable for a takeaway curry (it is not). Front of house staff are always friendly.
One thing to note: the dishes contain hazelnuts, which is great but just an FYI if you’re allergic, you will need to ask for these to be removed.
