La Vista Cafe & Restaurant reviews
90Excellent food, the attention received by the staff has been unbeatable. Even though we were a group of 12 diners we were served incredibly quickly. Super nice atmosphere. Totally recommended.
Do you like bland "tapas"? How about a tasteless "paella"? If you also enjoy paying too much for these, this is your place! People are nice tho
Absolutely amazing, as usual. Thanks for your delicious food and exceptional customer service
Great experience, lovely service, my first time for a birthday dinner was absolutely perfect, very professional and well-spoken staff, she new her menu by heart.
Beautiful meal, the best virgin mojitos Nice ambienceDelicious cheesecake & very delightful waitress who bravely sang 'Happy Birthday! ' Loved it.
First time at this restaurant. Great atmosphere. Service very good. I was part of a big party.
Good flow with food.but pricey.
Super special place to visit.enjoyed every moment.
This is my new favourite restaurant. After eating lunch here a few months ago and enjoying ourselves, we decided to try the dinner menu last night. Everything, EVERYTHING was delicious and well prepared. The flavours were beautiful and it was an incredible experience all round. It’s a little on the expensive side for us but so worth it! We are already dreaming of our next experience here.
This place is a little gem, you have to time it perfectly to get a seat outside but inside is just as nice.
We tried this place out on Saturday and enjoyed the food so much we had to come back on Sunday too.
The staff are friendly, the coffee is good and the meals are delicious.
We had the big breakfast equivalent and a Spanish baked eggs with a side of patatas bravas.
Although I’m not vegetarian there are multiple meals on the menu that could be altered to suit a vegetarian.
I was in a bit if a rush so sadly didn't take enough videos of the place and the food but this is easily one of the best cafes I have been to since returning to New Zealand.
Food
Coffee and the eggs bene I had was perfect. Eggs was cooked perfectly, Hollandaise sauce wasn't a fatty mess. Well balanced and presented well.
The place
Really nice decor and vibe plus it's St Helliers so great view of the beach and Rangitoto.
Service was friendly and attentive. Just nice people
Will definitely come again when I have q bit more time
Amazing staff, good atmosphere, great food. If you're out for dinner or lunch, check it out and see if there's a free table - it's often full! (I hear you can book a table, I just don't do such things)
The food was nice but disappointed in the seating conversations, harder to enjoy lunch after that.
Great location, has all the feel of a Spanish Tapas bar, but being Spanish myself, the Tortilla was just an omelette, the Chorizo tasted more like a spicy frankfurter than what it’s supposed to taste like. I did enjoy my time, hence the four stars, staff friendly but not very attentive and the toilets a little run down. Would visit again which is of course the ACID test.
Throughly enjoyed the Big Breakfast, great value and fast service. Making it my go-to breakfast spot in the bays.
AMAZING food great service. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who wants great food for a reasonable price. Took the fam here and they said it was the best.
Very nice cafe. Good selection of food from the menu or displayed on the counter. Awesome views out over the bay. Both inside and outside seating.
I found it expensive for the size of duck leg I got. The Sangria was with frozen fruit which is not as pleasant as fresh fruit & not much flavor. The desserts on the menu are most of them with chocolate. So, if you don't want chocolate, the only option was Tiramisu, but it wasn't available. It is a big surprise as we have enjoyed this place for years. The Girls are really lovely and efficient.
Fantastic service this morning by the friendliest barista in Auckland.
Delicious coffee and muffins.
Three visits in, I have to say that Sarah is the friendliest server/ barista I have ever met. LaVista is lucky to have her.
The family booked for brunch on the 27th December. Although they were short handed and only had one chef they were calm and collected. The girls were doing an outstanding job of looking after the tables and keeping patrons happy and informed. The owner pops out regularly in between making coffee and talks to customers. It is very clear that she is loved by this community as most of the patrons are locals. We come here several times a year driving approx 25-30mins to get there.
Excellent friendly service on New Years Day holiday. Superb Sangria cocktail jug with red wine option and generous fresh fruit - best I have had to date. Delicious "My Breakfast " meal with bacon option. Comfortable seating with a happy seaside Catalan experience. Highly recommended.
