64Will definitely be back! Beautiful restaurant with fabulous service. We came in for a late brunch and were very well looked after. Staff were attentive and looked happy and genuine. Thank you for making our day:)
Excellent service and food. We didn’t book but the staff was able to get a spare table outside anyways. The duck confite was absolutely worth it.
A little bit of France in New Zealand. After two weeks I was delighted to find our culinary know-how again. A good fondue followed by a cheese platter without forgetting the beer as an aperitif. Truly perfect! I recommend
Very pleasant restaurant, typically French cuisine, quality products, fast service and friendly staff! Come and discover!
I have been here once for dinner and once for breakfast. The flat white wasn't good but I don't have added sugar. The food was amazing though. My friends and I tried several dishes for dinner. The fondue didn't stay warm enough so we didn't end up finishing it. I had a croque madame for breakfast, which was lovely!
Great little restaurant and you can pretend, while you're there, that your somewhere in Europe (I guess France is the obvious one), as it is on a little lane with a wine shop opposite. The restaurant is fairly narrow, too, which is euro-reminiscent. The service is good, cab/sav was smooth. We started with the French onion soup, which was delicious but would have loved a wider bowl with 1 or 2 more pieces of bread and cheese. They were happy to give us two bowls so we could have it as a starter. The main was croque Monsieur- it's a big dish so we shared that too. Delicious and the cheese combination makes for a really tasty meal. Appenzellar - fantastic. Chocolate mousse and creme brulee for dessert - neither too sweet, so a good way to finish a lovely meal. Would definitely eat there again and recommend if you're looking for some genuine French cuisine.
Very good coffee, good breakfast, everything fresh. The service is outstanding, friendly and helpful. We’ll come again.
Very authentic French food, if you want to have dinner, it is best to make a reservation in advance, the restaurant is very quiet, perfect for dates and parties.
Découverte surprise de ce bistrot français.
Très bon service et plats excellents et très copieux.
My partner and I had a lovely meal at Le Chef. It was quirky and felt very European. The food was gorgeous and portion sizes generous. I had the crispy squid for my starter and my partner had grilled asparagus, both were lovely. I have the filet de boeuf for my main and my partner had the duck. My meat was cooked perfectly. The duck was very tasty too.
Excellent French food, well prepared with good portions. The cheese plate included a bit of local honey and honeycomb and was perfect to share. Sitting outside in the early summer evening was lovely, everything about this meal was wonderful.
OMG. Fillet cooked to perfection. Vegetables perfect accompaniment in flavours and texture. Will be back.
Nice food but my escargots were a bit bland. Long wait time though. Very busy for a Tuesday night. The manager / owner (couldn’t tell his role) is hot lol (extra star for that)
Food was excellent and very well put together. Staff were pleasant and had a laugh n a quaint, vibrant atmosphere. Only downside for the evening was the time between meals. Would still recommend a visit based on the taste of the food alone.
Busy place, service was great and friendly. Food was so full of flavor and lots of small share dishes. Main meals were large looked great!
Horrible service staff where rude. Food did not make up for the disrespect we where close to walking out.
Went there for the first time this restaurant month. The food was absolutely lovely, the wine choice for the set menu was perfect and the staff was super sweet as well. Plenty of gluten-free options too!
Would just like to say accessibility wise - it is not the most accessible for wheelchair users inside as the place is quite narrow with little room to manoeuvre. There is seating outside which would be great during spring/summer.
Had a lovely time!
Nice atmosphere and service was good however food and wine were just ok. Not sure if it’s because we had the Restaurant month menu special (which is good value for volume of food) but can’t say anything particularly good or bad about any of the dishes I had (escargot, beef and crème brûlée).
Went during the August restaurant month, $40 for three courses. It was really popular, booking is a must. The service was warm, friendly and efficient, the quality of food was absolutely fantastic. Can’t wait to go back!
Beautiful food with a great wine list. Service is professional and they make you feel welcome. Good atmosphere. Thanks for a great evening
