Leigh Bar and Eatery

Real nice place very friendly staff and yummy small plates we shared - salt and pepper squid was literally the best I’ve ever had so yum! Really enjoyed our visit. The steak and fries looked incredible so much that we almost stayed for dinner too but had other plans - next time:)

The vegan burger was way better than I expected. Good fries (not as good as in the fish and chips place though). Not a lot of beer options but good options and very friendly staff. I'd rate 4.5,5 is too generous and 4 too harsh.

Love this place. Been for many meals all at a high standard. Great drinks too. Friendly neighborhood bar.

Absolute rip off. Ordered takeaway meals for five people. On the menu the meals were $27 for fish chips and salad. But when we got home there was just fish. That was two meals so $45 for two pieces of fish. One meal 4 chicken wings with chips. Only got chicken wings.and cost $19. $18 for floppy undercooked squid and a few lettuce leaves. Burger and chips $25 which was so not worth it. Paid $146.00 for a very disappointing five takeout meals. We are shocked actually.

Food was great, nothing fancy but very decent pub fare. Staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive. Obviously a local hangout, which is always a good sign. Cold beers and a feed, what more can you ask for:)

Quite a few vegan options! Ratatouille, chips and dumplings were so nice. Our waiter was amazing as well. Not too badly priced too.

This is a must go to bar & eatery! Flipping amazingly delicious food, and some of the friendliest, best service from the staff that I’ve ever experienced. Thanks guys, keep it up!

Great place for a feed.was really happy to see Gurnard available.unfortunately it was a little over cooked. I should have gone for no batter and enjoy my fav fish nude/pan fried.but it all tasted excellent.the chippies are perfect. Good service and staff. I always enjoy it here.

Well I guess it was a long weekend and they had run out out certain parts of their menu.so I ordered steak it was really good! But just a bit stingy on their wine pours.aways under the line? You know a glass of wine is extremely expensive as it is without pouring it short.won't be back in a hurry.

Ordered kumara chips to takeaway, and they came dumped in a bag, as they ran out of trays and didn’t care to tell us- until we noticed oil seeping from bottom of bag.the inside of the chips were extremely dry and tasted old. Rang to let them know and received laughter in response.very disappointed.

What a feed, had the spare ribs and got teased relentlessly for not finishing, but I had a big fat red fat belly and couldn't do it. Anyway such awesome peeps at the Leigh Bar thankyou.

Lovely place to Dine. MR steak and ribs with 2 Long Island Iced Teas. Perfect way to end the day. Cheers to the Awesome staff nd Chef

Had a really nice meal and drinks at the Leigh.
Would recommend this Bar to everyone who visits this area.

Great venue. Friendly and efficient staff. Food and drinks menu offer a good selection. Spare Ribs are beautiful as is the fresh fish. A great small community feel about the place.
Well worth a visit.

The manager Amy such a lovely sweet lady, who runs a amazing team you can see the bond the Staff have. Rack of ribs is the bomb, meat just falls of the bone, delicious! Better then anywhere else! S&P squid is also highly addictive!

A lot of great reviews on here so I'm surprised our visit was so average. Didnt have two of the menu entrees available, so we just stuck with our mains only to find out 15 minutes later they didnt have one of the mains we had ordered either. A lady from behind the counter explained this & said they could do any other main, so we selected the pulled lamb salad. It was ready the same time as all our other three mains which was great although they must have been running low on lamb also as I must have counted about 3-4 small pieces throughout the salad in total. The lady did point out it was $2 more than the original order but they'd 'call it even'. I also didnt enjoy the cigarette smoke blowing through the place & over our table as we ate. Its great people who sit outside can smoke but maybe closing the sliding windows may reduce everyone having to smell it?
The man bringing the food out was very pleasant & the food we did get was great although portion sizes were below average. We didnt bother staying for dessert.

Friendly staff, Delicious Rack of Ribs with decent sized chips and salad at good price. Nom nom nom! Clean, ample selection of tables inside and out. Definitely highly recommended!
