Lighting Direct

Not a pleasant experience. Arrived not entirely sure how to explain what I was after and of the three staff members standing at the counter, the one who chose to interact with me I found rude, unwilling to understand what I was trying to explain and passively condescending. Left within 5 minutes of arriving. Lighting Plus thankfully were much more friendly. Will not be visiting Lighting Direct again.

It has been great purchase experience today for us, knowledgeable team and really patient, wider range of options, will definitely come for shopping again.

Was looking for very specific pendant lights and had been to a few different stores with no luck. The team at Wairau LD went above and beyond to help and guide us - got exactly what we wanted at a fantastic price, ordered in within a week! They look great, I’m super happy and I’ll be going back!

The team at Lighting Direct Wairau are awesome! Have been into the store 4 times in the last month as we are redoing all the lighting in our living room. Each time the team have been fantastic. Helpful, knowledgable, friendly, and "present" without being pushy in any way. They've made some great recommendations to meet our needs and given us great value for our money. Highly recommend!

Bought some ceiling fans from the Albany LD. Turned out to be not what I asked for. Went to the Wairau store and they really helped me find a better fan and gave me a great deal. Really helpful guys in the store too. Highly recommend

One of the lights we bought here spontaneously broke its glass just after a year of owning. Peter exchanged it for a new one no questions asked. Top Service!

Friendly and helpful staff who are eager to help. Plenty of products and services to help you with your lighting needs. Displays are clean and clearly marked.

Anish has been really helpful. He is extremely knowledgeable and, taking great care, explained in layman's terms what I need to do in order to solve a problem that I have re a lighting issue.

Excellent customer service. We purchased a standing light, and when following the install instructions to secure the globe on the fitting it cracked. We took it to the store and the team replaced the broken part. We are really happy with the light

Looking for an up light as the lights in our new home has such bright lights. A very pleasant young lady served us and she was very knowledgeable We had been told by another lighting shop that what we were looking for wasn't being made, but Lighting Direct had just what we wanted

Dealt with Matt. Bought 2 ceiling fans. Visited several retail outlets to compare prices and Lighting Direct had best value. Took a few days to get stock in, otherwise ok.

Pretty disappointing experience. Visited this store today with a blown bulb, only to be told before i was 5 feet in the store, "we don't stock that". Not what I would call service, or even helpful. The next lighting store I visited also didn't stock it but did advised me to visit Mitre 10 who did have it. Thats what I call customer service.

A good selection of lighting products but some prices are high. I tend to buy my lighting products from one of the bigger DIY chains such as Mitre 10 Mega or Bunnings. The other stores often have almost as good a range of products but with better prices.

I have given these guys (especially Sam) a 5 star rating because they deserve it! They have been helping us over the last few months with a large number lighting choices and their pricing, quality and customer service has been brilliant. Even followup phone calls to make sure everything has gone well, etc and of course we will be going back for the next lot.
