The chicken quesadilla was exceptional with the sour cream! The milky bar pudding goes down a treat if you have a sweet tooth like me, can’t wait to try the other menu items:)

Absence of COVID-19 protocols wasn't a good start, staff licking fingers to separate menus not great either. Then an identified floating object in the water and a couple of not so clean glasses.

Multiple items sold out, dry salmon and tasteless chicken. Drinks were great though.

My husband and I had the best experience here tonight ️ it's our 1 year Anniversary and what a treat it was. Food was immaculate and the service was even better. Very happy customers we will be back.

Always great food and service! Ribs and chicken dixie my absolute favorites! If you haven't tried them you defiantly should do so. Another business that has stood up to some of the tyranny the govt has put on the people with mandates and vax passes. Will have my business anyday over others that are blindly supporting segregation of the people. Order online and enjoy

Fantastic restaurant, really appreciate them holding onto New Zealand values and not discriminating against people due to medical interventions. We'll be back there again tonight to order takeaway. History will vindicate your stance and those who are discriminating will be ashamed. 'We were just following orders' is not sufficient. See you soon, guys.

The food was good, even though it took an hour+ to get to our table. The service was pretty shoddy and the attitude from staff was pretty nasty when I enquired about wait times. If you know there is gonna be a delay, let the table know so they can make an informed decision. This is common practice in hospo. Check up on your tables regularly. I worked in a restaurant that was atleast 20x busier and we never had delays like that, and of we did we kept constant communication. Drinks took 25mins to come out after placing the order - made me wonder if our server just didn't out through our order? I saw tables come in after us, order, get their food, and then leave before we even received our food. When I asked for a check on the food the (im guessing) manager of the shift said he would check and never came back to the table until I stood up to look for him 15 mins after asking. He made an attempt at the end of the night to smooth things over, but a simple apology, some understanding and some consistent service would go a long way. It would have been a 1 star but the food was decent enough for me to not be a total a**hole.

This is the best Lone Star, the staff are amazing including the owner who is so friendly. I would especially like to thank the Head Chef Jassi who is an awesome chef. He caters to any and all request. We have practically tried every dish on their menu. Thanks Jassi and Lone Star team. We will definitely come back soon.

This place offer great food in a huge quantity. The staff and the manager were especially nice and very welcoming. Five Stars.

Meal was excellent. Friendly service and even though we didn't book a table the wait wasn't long. Love the saddles at the bar.

Friendly service. Great food. Loved the scallops, sauce was Devine. Steak cooked to perfection for all three of us. I love the garlic bread loaf.

Booked a table for 10 people turned up and our table was given to another group so we had to wait for another table waited 10mins ordered drinks first had a long wait finally got our drinks then ordered our food. We ordered well done steak it came medium rare sent it back 5 mins later came back still the same they just covered it with mushroom sauce couldn't be bothered sending it back so didn't eat it considering we spent over $400 on drinks and meal is petty bad. Won't be coming back here

Second time we've been here for a work function.they are very accommodating. Food was amazing! Tho some long waits for some meals but they were very busy for a Sunday so understandable plus they did communicate this to us and super friendly too. Would definitely go back.

Located in New Lynn. Parking is a bit difficult to find if you don't know about it (located behind the restaurant). Website booking system is easy to use. Staff friendly and efficient. Meals at Lone Star ar known for being bigger than Texas, but they are well cooked and delicious. Shared a dessert, equally delicious. Highly recommend this branch.
