Lone Star Cafe & Bar

We ordered honky tonk chicken which was quite nice, juicy and the chips were crispy.

Kids ordered Nachos which wasn’t too bad, chicken strips which were nice, hot dogs were average and beef burger was the worst beef patty made by a restaurant by far! The beef was so dry, tough, flavourless, like it had been made by hand from bits they had found around the kitchen. They were good to replace it with hot dogs or one of us would have gone hungry.

The Lone Star Loyal app also has serious issues as it was our sons birthday and the manager seemed uncapable to fix the issue, just made up something as an excuse for the app and offered no birthday discount

Again great reasonably priced food. The wait staff were helpful and attentive. But the attitude of the manager when asked a question on check out was appalling. I would suggest he finds another line of work as he is not suited to the service industry. Because of this we won't be going back to our local restaurant but don't let that put other people off.

Good food and the service has definitely improved from the last visit. However, we also had some random fruit flies interrupting. We are talking a couple, when there should be none. I suggest a deep clean of the booths and menus. Then remove the sauces and wipe them down, on the regular. Thank you

Had to get someone to take our order. Food took ages to come, had to see what the holdup was; no communication between chefs n waiting staff. Food was over cooked. This place is usually on to it

We went with friends and on Saturday night the place was packed but that didn't stop the great service we got. The food was delightful and we didn't have to wait that long and the waitress knew how to look after our drinks. When we finished she brought the kids Lone Star t shirts which they loved. Great atmosphere and great restaurant, highly recommended we will definitely be back and the underground parking was a bonus. Thanks Lone Star.

Always a good experience.not sure about the mint in the coleslaw though.
Would have been nice to have more than 30 seconds between entree and main delivery, but a tasty meal.

Restaurant wasn’t even half full and it still took 30mins for drinks and 1h for food to show up. Venison was over cooked and the rest was all pretty average

The chicken nibbles were hot and cold literally. I took 1 piece were one end was warmish and the other was cold. Had the pork ribs and was not ejoyable at all. It was a mountain of mediocre food. The cooking was not right - it was not tender, the fat was thick and by the time i finished 2 pieces it was cold already. We were the only customers so i don't see a reason why it couldn't be done right. Just tasted sweet no other flavours. Chicken dishes were ok.

Ribs were almost stone cold when we got them, got the star burger as-well and the bun was hard and once we saw the ribs were cold we didn’t feel like eating the burger. Overall food was not up to standard, definitely wouldn’t go back! Didn’t even end up paying for anything as we couldn’t even eat the food!

On Saturday 12th May we had 25 ladies attended a Mothers Day dinner.
That night we were looked after by a young lady called Sophie.
This beautiful young lady demonstrated such professionalism to her job, she always had a smile each time she came to our table, she had so much patience whilst taking each order. I was amazed how she ways so calm in this chaotic atmosphere. Sophie you are amazing, dont stop being a beautiful individual that you are. ️

Ordered a sirloin mr via Uber eats arrived mw disappointed that’s basically 45 bucks for a steak that is over cooked for my liking again dissatisfaction 100%

4th time we’ve been here and never fails to impress. Food portions are always generous and we never leave feeling hungry. Great to see it getting busier after the holidays and lockdowns and hope this continues. Definitely have a repeat customer with us

My dining experience tonight at Lone Star was terrible. Food substanded and the mussels were the worst we have ever tasted. If it wasnt that I was out with a work colleague I would have walked out. Wont be back.

Came here for lunch, and the ribs were just incredible - huge portion, tender and the sauce…wow. The coleslaw and buffalo chips were the perfect accompaniment. I didn’t have to wait very long for the food to arrive, and the staff were attentive, friendly and professional. Ambience and decor is lovely. Would definitely go back for lunch.

If you’re looking for a place to eat, lone star is not the place for you. I went there for dinner and ordered. Sadly, we didn’t get the hospitality we were expecting. Lone star’s service was critically slow and my knees went numb and it was already ten o clock when the food came. The room was so dark and cold and the room would only light up when the food was served so we waited for hours in the dark. And I’m not exaggerating! When the food came, it was not as nice as most public restaurants and I don’t think it was worth the wait. We finished our food and was ready for dessert but the waiter came and told us that it would take hours for the food to arrive so we left with an unhappy face because we were missing dessert

Fun spot as you can watch the horse racing from their deck. The long wait on food was disappointing though.

Came here on my own and was seated quickly. But that is where the service stopped. Sat waiting for 30 minutes to place an order. Gave up and left, informing the manager as I left. No, I didn't wait for them to rectify the situation, I was done with waiting.

Attended a Christmas function here. Underground parking was great. Service was awesome. Drinks came out pretty quick and were delish. Music needs a tweak with a more upbeat and festive country playlist perhaps. Mains and dessert were good.

Food was average, semi warm we ordered the entree ribs which was warm but meat dry. Dixie chicken the sauce was lumpy and just the overall meal was below average for the prices. Worst part was the service, waiting 10mins to order dessert and on top of that waiting 25 mins with no dessert. Disappointing in the service mainly, you ain’t going to lone star because of the quality of food but good service isn’t that hard.

Great customer service and care. Amazing staff who made our son's birthday dinner experience really awesome. Love coming here for special occasions with loved ones.
