Loopine is my go-to wool company in Auckland. Great service, and there's always lots of interesting, beautiful yarns.

Went here on a whim one weekend in Auckland where I was meant to be going to a concert that was cancelled. Super lovely store, let me wander and choose and then even let me wind a couple of skeins in the back room. Now use the online store and it’s fab.

Alanna is lovely and super helpful. You can always be guaranteed a good yak when you go to her shop! The shop is well stocked with a cornucopia of wools and a great stock of both HiyaHiya needles and Chiaogoo needles plus other bits 'n bobs.

Loopine is my favourite wool shop, and not just because it is my local. There is a great range of yarn, from staples to treats. And talking of treats, Knit Night on Fridays is the highlight of my week. I love seeing how everyone's projects are progressing, and enjoying good company along with a little something from the Chocolate Boutique next door.

Visited from the US as I like to get yarn instead of souvenirs when I travel! I got some beautiful NZ wool to make a shawl and had the loveliest time.

Alanna and all the other staff are really helpful, enthusiastic knitters who are always happy to help with project/ yarn decisions or help understand a pattern or technique, or just to talk anything knitting/fiber craft related. The shop itself is gorgeous, located in an old building in Parnell which itself is my favourite neighbourhood in Auckland. There's heaps of yarn options and knitted samples in the shop to look at. And they even host knitting socials every Thursday morning and Friday night that you can join for free! It really feels like a community here.

While I haven't yet had the opportunity to visit the store, I purchase yarn through the online store.
I recently had a great experience with Alanna, she was extremely helpful and pleasant to speak to when I was searching for some yarn for a special project. Thank you Alanna for your time and expertise, it is most appreciated and I hope to visit your wonderful store soon!

Amazing little yarn shop! Great selection of local dyer yarns, yarns with possum fibers, as well as high quality yarns from all over the world. Very friendly shop owner too!

Nice.but after visiting the wool shop in Milford it was a little disappointing. Staff not particularly interested in showing me around. Their patterns were on line. I liked the location on Parnell Street.

I'm a knitter again since retiring two year ago. I visited this shop on a trip to Auckland in October, and have been ordering yarn and accessories online ever since. Loopine is the loveliest shop, full of treasures and joie de vivre! Not just yarn, there is a range of knitted-up garments so you can see how things might turn out, and cool accessories. Alanna was so helpful, and very attuned to the knitter's skill level. I was there for 90 minutes. Allow plenty of time if you love to knit and talk about knitting:) I enjoy the newsletters also, thank you Alex.

A fabulous yarn shop that stocks Spincycle yarns! I love the super helpful women who work in this shop. You do a fantastic job!

Always a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a great range of items including Hiya Hiya sharp needles, which are so good for speedy knitting and also less work for people who have hand or arm issues.

This is my favourite wool shop in Auckland and I love disappearing into the treasure trove of beautiful wool within. Alanna and her team are always so lovely that I never fail to find help and inspiration.

Fabulous wee gem! I was taken to the store when visiting Auckland last year and was completely taken with the variety of yarn, the knick-knacks and notions and best of all the assistance I received while dithering about what to buy and then what I was going to knit with it.
I signed up for the emails and they are chatty, informative and friendly, I look forward to reading the wee articles that they add.
Shopping online has proven to be hassle free and I will continue to keep supporting this wee business at the top of the North Island from my home in the middle of the South Island.
