Malmaks Water Shop

I am new to the neighborhood, called the office at 9am to arrange a service for my unit, lady was very friendly and helpful, Darrell came over at 10.30am, he is a fantastic Kiwi bloke, down to earth chatted with him like I knew him for ages, great experience. Highly recommend.

This was my last resort to write this but I had to share this to help avoid others having the same experience.

I chose to put my business towards these guys as I like to support local family business's. Unfortunately I would not recommend malmaks pump shop to anyone.
1) they sold me the incorrect product which was never going to work as an on demand pump for a house.
2) sold me a pump pressure switch to try and rectify the 1st muck up which made the pressure so bad it was un useable.
3) Very bad communication - I had to follow up each time.
4) I have paid for a plumber to visit my home 3 times at my cost - Malmaks refused to offer any compensation here.
5) I returned the pump for a refund - slow to sort this out for me and only offering $650 of the $1000 I spent with them.

These guys are meant to be professionals and unfortunately that was not the case here.and I am out of pocket over well over $1000 and not even an apology.

Very Disappointed!

Amazing service. They put together a series of bits and pieces which meant our watertank had a float that didn't take the water off the bottom. It fitted perfectly and as I watched him put it together I could see it took a lot of knowledge and experience.

It is our go to place and the price is always reasonable. If they don't have it they will get it.

We buy all our filters there and it is great to have a small personalised business in the local area that is interested in individual solutions.

Terrible service. They didn't provide notice that a product was out of stock and when they offered an alternate product, it didn't do all the tests of the original. When I queried this, they have not responded for weeks. You run the risk of losing your money dealing with these crooks.

I went there today afternoon with an inquiry into a pump that was not working, The staff were very patient, took the time to explain the possibilities, they were focused on possible solutions rather then an elaborate sales pitch to sell stuff. Following their advice, did few things which sorted my problem. Very good service and will surely use them for any future work. Thanks team

Excellent customer service. A place with one or two of everything you might need. Unusual to find a supplier in a reasonably affluent area that has reasonable prices. Have most things and opened for us previously on a Sunday when we needed a new water pump urgently.
