I called them up the other day admit they were so helpful and personable. I would highly highly recommend. It’s hard to find tradesmen who are friendly these days and these guys are 100% friendly.

A total rip off. Called them to look at a repair job that my husband had done earlier. I mentioned that it was a 5mins job at the max, as all that was required was an adjustment to a connecter. They did not come when they said they would, I had to chase them up. He came when I was not around and it took him less than 2 mins to adjust the connector for which they sent me a $103.50 invoice ($90 min charge plus gst). At no point that they advise me of their minimum charge even when I had specifically mentioned it was going to take them less than 5mins. I was not at home when he came so couldn't confirm cost before he did the work. If I had known how much he was going to charge then I would have asked him to connect my washing tab at the same time so that I could have got my money's worth. I don't need a plumber on a regular basis so I had no idea that a call out fee could be that much, the most I was expecting for the job was $30 or $40. I feel they failed in their duty of care to advise me of the cost up front. I can understand the need for a min charge if the job took half an hour or even 15 mins but the fact that it took only 2 mins I feel there should have be a degree of discretion but they flat out refused. I don't know how they feel it's ok to rip people off this way. It's like daylight robbery!

They are always responsive
Very honest
And give free advice
They use initiative when I am not there

Had a washer break late Friday afternoon and the water main wouldn't turn off. Mike came within 20 mins and sorted it. Awesome service

Found this guy on my property. He didn't even have the decency to knock on the door and ask permission. Told him he was trespassing asked him for his details then he gave me false information. Pity he couldn't hide his sign written Ute at the front. I have been in touch with the police and the Auckland city council and reported him. If he ever enters my property he will be arrested.

These guys are EXPENSIVE.
2 hours to change 1m exposed piece of pipe!
Huge mark up on materials (400%)
Lots of "extra" charges.
Vehicle charge? How else do they get there? Bike!
Call out charge? During normal hours? Where else do they do they work?
Didn't do what I asked and charges too much, I would not recommend them.

I have worked with Marshall plumbers a number of times & found them to be both competitive & professional. With regard to the other review here from Chris Lerew - Mr Lerew is/was undertaking unconsented plumbing work & Marshall Plumbers advised him of that. He was also advised that he was using unlicenced builders to carry out unconsented structural work on his property. Mr Lerew objected to being told this & posted his "review" - which contains unmitigated untruths. It speaks volumes of Mr Lerews character. Should you care to research other feedback on Marshall Plumbers, you will note that they all are unrelentingly positive.

Do NOT use these cowboys!
Terrible communication, shoddy work, and it seemed excessive mark up (is 60% on top of retail price normal?)
I had several thousand $ of work done. There were a number of basic errors, one of which caused very expensive damage to a bath being installed.
For many many months I tried to get a civilised dialogue on the issue but they simply did not return calls. On the two times I managed to talk, they flatly refused to accept fault (or even discuss in a reasonable manner).
Sorry guys, I tried to be nice about this, but you just dug your own grave.

I have used Marshall Plumbers a few times to help out with jobs at my rental properties - most recently installation of a new hot water cylinder (after the old one failed). They've always replied to phone messages, communicated with my tenant well, and turned up at the times they say they will (and I can't say that of all tradesmen).

Yes they have a vehicle charge - but that seems standard now, and is less than the vehicle charge added by other tradsemen I use. Overall though I was very happy with the price on my recent job.

Mike from Marshall plumbers is great. He and his team are prompt, efficient, reasonably priced and go the extra mile. I would definitely recommend them.
