Martha's Furnishing Fabrics

I don’t usually leave negative reviews but feel compelled to do so in this case. The customer service here was very cold and unhelpful. I was about to purchase some fabric and asked for some help with measurements because on their website it says that they make custom coverings. The staff were super complicated and unfriendly about it, no eye contact and just generally giving off a rude vibe. I ended up leaving and found the exact same fabric at another store down the road for a quarter of the price. The staff at The Fabric Store in Newton were helpful, friendly and happy to give me advice on my window cushion, other customers were also receiving advice when I came in- I also saved over $100.

Non-existent customer service. Staff absolutely ignore you to the fullest. No hello no interaction like you are invisible. Woww I’m surprised every single one of staff behaved exactly the same. Felt extremely unwelcome, uncomfortable, thanks a lot for saving my money. Will do business elsewhere.

After having read all the reviews seems like most people have experienced what I experienced in the shop. Shocked a retail business can have no basic greetings no question no interaction with the only customer. I get people might be busy but certainly I could tell employees were just casually chatting away. For the owner of Martha’s, treat people like how you wish to be treated! A simple hello would have been enough!

Less in love with them than I was when I first discovered Martha's during lockdown and was one of those who bought product knowing it would be months before it was sent. Lots of great stock and generally good service but not as good as they think it is

Very disappointed visit. After also reading all the positive feedback- I was horrified to find the two shop assistant discussing another customs and how difficult this particular customer was. I spent about 15 min browsing in the store and when I finally headed for the door - one assistant finally acknowledged my presence- very poor show Martha's Fabrics.

For lovers of fine fabrics curtaining and upholstery this place is a feast for your eyes. Materials colour coordinated which is very helpful and staff know their products. Parking not easy remember to pay worth waiting around for a park.

Excellent selection for home furnishing projects. I bought a bundle of remnants and 2 meters good quality tartan off the roll. Was referred here from the Fabric Store, which has lighter weight fabrics for dressmaking.

Martha's is fantastic. They have the best range of fabrics for furnishing. To top it off the staff are exceptional with help and spot on advise!

Went along after reading good reviews, however, come home feeling very disappointed. No greeting, no acknowledgement even that I was there, I wandered around for a good 15 minutes looking for something specific with samples in hand which I would have thought made it look like I was really trying to find something in particular. Many of the fabric prints lacked clarity and most of those I had viewed online were disappointing in this regard. Just about all the fabrics are $50/m so I guess that is OK if you want fabrics in the cheaper range.

Plenty of fabrics to choose from, all are of high quality. Staff members will let you browse their stock in peace.

If you are a serious interior fabric lover, then you just have to visit this place because the fabrics are beautiful. You will find high end Designer Fabrics here. They aren't cheap but they are absolutely unique. They are situated beside Little & Friday so you can also get great coffee and incredible food before you browse.
