Mercury Theatre reviews
16 Such a fantastic building with tons of culture.
A cozy theatre just big enough for the medium sized event. While awaiting the upcoming performance the theater itself gives so much to look at and admire.
Parking building around the corner but tight streets, may suggest Uber to your event.
Mercury theatre us tired, run down and in a rough part of town. Wilson Parking is close by and reasonable ($12 for night)
The artists using it are great, but the Venus needs some cash spent in it.
Nice ambience & a cheap night car park ($12) is just down the road which I was happy about.
Great venue to listen to lovely sounds
Booked a candlelight performance which was great. Unfortunately, had some issues on the way to the venue and the two girls at the front door (probably spelled wrong) Tiana and Ahta saved my night with my girlfriend. Ahta was kind enough to let us have her parking spot so we could get in on time, absolute MVPs, thanks a lot girls
What a great little theatre, saw Deacon Blue here on Sunday, great concert, great venue, right close up.
Great small venue! Came here to watch Deacon Blue - awesome night. And awesome friendly staff too!
First time visit to watch Deacon Blue perform their 30th Anniversary tour. Great venue to get up close to the performers.
Only downside was the air flow as the building is over 100 years old but the sound was excellent.
Balcony adds to the antiquity of the place and the band encouraged dancing even in the stalls. Please come back to NZ again. A+
Great venue, a true beautiful relic of old and so nice to go to an event like teskey brothers and not have to watch them on a big screen. Up close and real. Loved it
Appreciate the historical building preserved through the years. There might still be restoration happening, the ceiling of top theatre needs some serious love.
Great venue for circo acrofit studios annual showcase. Molly mustard out on a fine show and the venue and intimate setting ensured you felt like part of the production.
Nice place, would recommend it for functions, conferences or even band practices as there is a main stage.
Great old building owned by Equippers Church.
Truely amazing place and a Truely wonderful place to Worship God.
Very comfortable seats, great views of stage from pretty much all seats, stage and steps up to stage are a death trap! No rails, very easy to fall off, a wonder it passed health and safety
Bring it back! Bursting with history and memories of theatrical bliss. This place deserves the full reno makeover. So many divine features. Secrets and discoveries around each corner. A bucket list stage to perform on and auditorium to escape in.
I had never heard of this place until we bought tickets to see the Teskey Brothers. The theatre has definitely seen better days but it is still a good venue. It seems great for music as it is quite small and intimate.
Wine was pricey though $12/glass! I would visit again
The show itself was spectacular, well put together. The theatre seemed in dire need of internal renovation however.
