Mercy Hospice Shop, Ponsonby reviews
15Great shop with super friendly staff, a little pricier than some other hospice shops but more designer items in fab condition
Love their new location. Well set out clean interesting shop. Helpful volunteers. Eclectic range of goodies.more higher quality than Hospice shops in other areas thus higher prices too but great value for your money. Take your time to potter thru the shop to find that special something.
I am a volunteer and love my work and the other staff at Ponsonby shop. I have been there since about 2007. Brenda the manager and Andrew, assistant manager work hard and also we are very happy to do whatever they want to help.with us voiunteers.
The dvds are over price u can buy 50cent dvds from cash converters so how does a op shop get away with selling used dvds at 3bux
We brought quality donations, manager treated us like an inconvenience. Go to any other charity shop for a better experience (and more reasonable prices).
Overpriced. Wouldn't recommend if you're opshopping for a great price range. However loved the open layout and sorting of the shop. $18 for a basic non branded side bag - $45 for a macpac long sleeve.
Wouldn't recommend, much nicer hospice shops in Auckland to be generous to. Never had such difficulty donating good used items to a charity shop as with this one. Three times have been in to drop off stuff and each time Mrs Snooty (aka Karen) scathingly rifled through items selectively picking what she wanted.dude you're a charity shop not fashion central nor high end homewares store! Get a grip. Highly recommend Royal Oak store, happy and accomodating in taking all the items. No pretence or Karen-isms.
Well presented store. Clean Nd tidy. Volunteers are friendly. Good selection of clothing. Some nice surprises. I found an original buzzy bee.
Good range and quality of clothing etcetera, shame some of the staff are not nice, grabbing something that I was looking at for themselves. RUDE!
Friendly ladies working in here. The shop is well laid out. It's very clear they enjoy working here. Great bargains and some different bits and pieces, nic nacs and ornaments to choose from.
I go op shopping when in the city and this Mercy Hospice shop is fantastic for quality and variety of items and the staff are fantastic - very helpful, happy and always smiling. Just great to support recycling and a different shopping experience every time with huge variety of surprise potential. Happiness and success always to the team Trude Bethell
A good selection of women's clothing and some practical housewares like heavy woollen blankets and small tables and lamps.
Nice Op Shop generating money for a great cause. Wide variety of used good available. Goods are in nice condition most of the times. Staff are nice and helpful too. Well recommended.
Overpriced. I needed a basic black or white shirt for work. I found a simple black shirt from Forever 21 - $16! Does it even cost that much full price?
The ladies who work here are really lovely, they always have cool clothes and it's for a good cause:)
