Good professional service from Wayne and his team. Have been a customer of Midas Onehunga for a long time.

Absolute scam, Charged 200 for a wof, changed a park light and windscreen wipers without my knowledge or consent (illegal). Attempted to charge $25 consumables - explained as grease used for a split pin and EFTpos fees. Receptionist was absolutely evasive regarding time it would take to get a wof check initially (his colleague gave me a direct answer after much prompting). Returned at the time (no notification at all) to find wof had been done, passed, with about $100 labor unknowingly added.reasonable price for parts used -about the same as going to supercheap and doing it yourself.
Changed windscreen wipers - probably needed changing in the near future
Change F/L parklight - had not notticed any issues with this prior.
Inflated the advertised WOF price with fixed consumables fee - always charged, not included nor advertised.
Would highly recommend avoiding at all costs.

I would like to take the onus to thank Dwayne and his entire team for repairing my Mercedes Rear View Mirror in extremely impeccable turnaround time. I contacted Midas Onehunga in the morning and the staff picked up my car in 2 hours and I got it repaired and delivered back on the same evening. I explained them that I had my marriage ceremony on the weekend and they went out all their way to arrange a rear view mirror and replacing it on an urgency basis. I cannot thank enough the entire team and the amazing customer service they provided, apart from the awesome repair job. Shall definitely recommend them to all and going forward Midas Onehunga is the place all my cars would be heading for any repairs/servicing. It was a breeze dealing with these guys. So so good:)

What a joke. Took our car in for a $60warrant $1,004.00 later!

Took same vehicle in for a service another $1,094.00!

Went in too swap tyres around and buy one new tyre only another $1027.00 spare tyre got swapped with a totally different rim and way smaller tyre doesn't even fit!

Very bad experience here for multiple reasons and I'm not normally one to put up reviews. I went here because of the good reviews but never again.

1. Overinflated service costs. On their website, the cost of a service ranges from $199-280 but I get a phone call saying it will be $380 for the service not including GST (every other Midas includes GST in their quotes so I found that weird) ?
2. The WOF price was reasonable but then he says I need a $480 brake pad change. I call 2 other mechanics and they both quote me $200 for the same job. Absolutely ridiculous.
3. He also says I need an air filter change which I get checked at another mechanic who verified that I didn't.
4. He also said that I needed my battery changed which would mean my total bill was around $1300 not including GST. Crazy!

At least he agreed to charge me the website cost of $199 for the service after arguing with him but yes I decided to take my business elsewhere.

We always get exemplary service from Kam and his team. All of our family cars are serviced there and we have referred many friends and neighbours on to them. Highly recommended.

There’s a reason people swear by this place. Dwayne and his team are industry-leading in quality of work, customer service, and speed. Had 3 days to get my car repaired and WOF’d DURING DECEMBER and they managed to fit me in last minute this past Friday. Sent photos of all parts needing repair, provided detailed cost breakdowns, and even worked with me to keep the bill down as much as they could. In an industry that often lacks transparency this was refreshing and hugely appreciated. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Excellent job by the team at Midas Onehunga, they were able to accomodate my needs at short notice and fix up the problems on my car at an excellent price Thank you so much we will be back again!

Great, reliable service you can trust. I travel from East Auckland to get my car serviced here, and the service provided justifies that travel. Great communication, great people. Highly recommended.

The old owner (Grant) was amazing as he'd always look after customers and was straight up, never overcharging. Unfortunately, it seems that the current owners want to squander that and are only interested in squeezing out as much money as they can from us. Needless to say, we'll be finding a new mechanic.

Took my car for wof, failed on one tyre, they said it had a cut in tyre.also front break pads, and rear trailing arm bushes x2. I told them I can do the pads, they gave me a price of $1000.to do bushes and tyre. I had new bushes fitted for $400, at another shop, took off tyre and found no cut, put it back on the car. Took it back for a recheck and passed.they tried to sell me a tyre I didn't need, and overcharge me for there labour.you decide.

I put my car in for WOF today, and the team advised of additional issues they had discovered which needed repairing. This included suspension upgrades, new strut tower plates, oil changes etc.in order to pass the WOF. When they originally told me the cost of this, I almost fell off my chair after explaining the budget I currently have. The owner was so understanding, helped me out with a good price and even threw in a complimentary oil change to help me out. I couldn't recommend these guys enough. Small but sturdy company that is definitely worth any locals business.

Staff are friendly and efficient every time I go, nothing is a bother. They fix issues on the spot!)

Called yesterday to get a quote was told I would get a call back asap after he found out the price and never heard back
