Mumbaiwala reviews
24 Great restaurant.service was excellent.we had a good family meal out and everyone happy with their choices.
Whoever came up with sound effects in toilets.brilliant!
Thank you for a great evening!
Amazing food and people! Been there twice now and the staff has been excellent. Keep up the good work:)
Huge thanks to Aneri and the team at Mumbaiwala! Hosted my Dad’s 75th birthday here and it couldn’t have gone smoother. They were very accomodating to our requests and the food was amazing! Would definitely recommend to others
Absolutely love this place, the decor is beautiful and the food is delicious.
Can’t go to Mumbaiwalla without ordering a Dahi Puri - taste explosion for sure!
The Veg biryani quality has gone down! I was so happy I finally found a good restaurant where they put in a lot of effort in making a delicious veg biryani but I’ve been disappointed twice in a row!
The first time the rice was over cooked and there were only big chunks of carrots and broccoli
The second time it was sour and more like sambar rice (curry and rice mixed together)
I’m so disappointed!
It should be kiwiwala, not Mumbaiwala, no authentic or nearby taste, fully wastage of time, and money if you are looking for authentic Indian taste.
Had a dinner date here. Nice clean restaurant, love the theme & lighting set the ambiance.we were shown to our table where we looked at the menu's. After ordering our drinks arrived quickly with our entrée not far behind. Ordered cauliflower Manchurian based on other reviews, and it was so delicious! Our mains arrived about 15min later and were ok. Servings were good size too.
Quite possibly the best meal I've had in Auckland since I arrived 1 year ago.
Excellent and speedy service.
Atmosphere vibrant!
Highly recommended!
Will be back soon!
Do not think twice! Order the cauliflower, get x2 dishes of it to start. It’s sticky and delicious. Mains, the lamb curry is to die for, so is the chicken biryani! How many times have you got naan bread and felt bloated and full? This will NOT happen, I am sensitive to a lot of food and the garlic naan was lite and moreish. Again - order two. Epic service. Thank you and will be back!
The vibe and the music were great. Both the food and the service were rather superb. Wouldn’t mind coming back again)
It's Ok kind of Restaurant.
Food, you can eat just once.
Don't recommend
Food was below average and highly over priced for the quality of food. Base of all curries was exactly same. Dine in only if you wanna waste your money.
Amazing food, service & cocktails in a great looking restaurant. Can’t fault my experience
Loved their curries, Mumbai chicken and garlic naan! Would definitely come back here, one of the best Indian meals I’ve had in Auckland.
Such a lovely restaurant! Welcoming and super friendly staff. Great decor and ambiance. Definitely making this restaurant a regular thing with its delicious food, the cauliflower is a must.
After recent monsoons and stifling humidity, I thought, what could be a more suitable meal out than a curry.
Delicious food and really great gluten free options which is a huge PLUS! The Sali Boti lamb curry was amazing and the chicken Murgh Tikka masala was the star of the night. Overall it was the best Indian food I've eaten since coming home to NZ two years ago?
Not worth the price as the quantity of food is low price too high for such quantity but on side note service was great friendly staff.
Overpriced /too expensive for the kind of menu they have and food was very normal. This place is definitely not for Indians. Used Costco slider buns to make vadapav Staff was friendly
