The food is fantastic, the staff is fantastic, John is a real character! The atmosphere is like nothing we have experienced before. You will not go home hungry. Will be coming back every month! Thanks for a great time and real good food.

Great spot! You feel the love as soon as you walk in, that and the humour: D Food is always delicious and such good value for money. We'll be back again and again and again.

Absolutely love this place, food is amazing and the rum selection is the best i have seen in nz.

Went in on game day. Good, fun loving service. Best poppers I've ever had in Auckland. The popcorn chicken is illegally crunchy and delicious.

Great environment. Host was funny, helpful and nice. Terrific food, lovely smokey ribs, incredibly tender. Empanadas were pack with flavour. House made hot sauce had a nice kick to it. Great change from the everyday NZ offerings. Also had a good range of gluten free options. Proper strong cocktails, and all really well priced. Will be regular visitors from now on.

Stumbled across this place on a Google search and went for lunch yesterday.
It was soooo good and very well priced! Highly recommend the popcorn chicken and pork belly, in fact it was all super yum! Portions were generous and we had enough left over for lunch today which is always a bonus. Highly recommend it, we'll be back for sure!

Booked a table for 4 for my son's birthday at 7pm. Ordered a Mojito and Purple Kush for cocktails, and a couple of soft drinks. Fried Pork Spare Ribs for starters was.yum and prompt. The rest took awhile- Jerk Chicken, Pork Belly and Jamaican Oxtail with Fries, Green Salad, Rice, Mac N Cheese. They ran out of the Slaw after taking our order so we switched to more green salad. They were all delicious.

Booked in at Nanny’s for Mother’s Day dinner. Smooth and easy process. Arrived to friendly smiles and got us seated with a high chair for our son. Complimentary drink for Mother’s Day was a nice touch, we ordered the half jerk chicken with fries and slaw and the Rasta pasta and added beef (a must! The beef was so delicious) as well as the pasta! Good things take time so grab a drink and enjoy your company while you wait for your meal to come out! Def recommended:) thanks team!

Went for a spontaneous dinner date here last week and had one of the best dining experiences there! Amazing food, yummy drinks and the loveliest and charismatic staff working. Have told all my friends about them and 100% would go again! I would post a photo but I ate it all

Amazing food, the service was the best I've ever had anywhere in the world.
The amount of enthusiasm and trust the waiters had for the food they served was on another level!
The friendliness and warm atmosphere is unmatched, you feel like your eating in your grandmas kitchen.

The experience was nothing short of amazing, with fantastic service and food that blew me away. The staff were all welcoming and attentive, making sure that our every need was met throughout the evening.

The highlight of the night was definitely the drink we ordered - the spicy Maria. I have never tasted a cocktail quite like it, with just the right amount of spice and sweetness. It was the perfect complement to the incredible food that was served.

My family is from Barbados and we have visited Nannys several times now and have enjoyed every visit - the food the music and the atmosphere take us back! Thank you JP & team for another wonderful night out:)

What a find! We stumbled across Nanny’s and far out it was phenomenal. Such tasty food, attentive staff and fun atmosphere. Almost everything was GF/could be GF! Throughly recommend. Can’t wait to come back.

The food, hospitality and atmosphere was fantastic!
All staff were really attentive and thoughtful. The chef making recommendations and talking us through each meal he brought to our table. Will definitely be back and bring a bigger group. Music great too. Thank you!:)

Had a great time at Nanny's eatery - service and staff were great and real friendly. The jerk chicken was amazing full of flavour and the sides went great with it. Large selection of drinks made it even better and would be back again for sure!

This was one of the best places we've eaten recently! We all (4 of us) said we could fault nothing! Great food and service, and the place had a real vibe going on. Great menu and catered for GF. Highly recommended

It's all cooked from scratch, so takes a bit longer than many restaurants.but they do warn you of this.

I thought it was excellent value for money.maybe even too cheap for how high the quality was!

Overall, a great experience and we will be back.keen to try lots of the other dishes

Oh man. This food is next level. I had jerk chicken, mac n' cheese, and rice and peas (beans) for dinner and my wife had the ox tail and I literally woke up thinking about the food the next day. One of the best meals we've had in Auckland hands down.

Truly, not even biased. This was my first time going to this place and man was I missing out! The food here is absolutely amazing! Oxtail falls off the bone and the jerk chicken has a beautiful unique taste! Even the green salad was nice! Me ‘n my partner went here and rate it so highly! And the service is so so so good, they’re such good sorts!

Amazing restaurant! We went there for Mother’s Day on Sunday and were well looked after. The owner and staff were really friendly and attentive, even gave the missus a complimentary wine for Mother’s Day.

The food is unreal! We got the half chicken with chips and slaw which makes me not want to get chicken from anywhere else again. The beef burger was a delicious, proper sized homemade burger. Definitely recommend a side of Jamaican patties and the banana and chocolate empanada for dessert too.

Very well priced and will definitely be going back and bringing others to try the rest of the menu and get a few cocktails too
