Navigation Homes is a family centric business that maintained fantastic communication, provided weekly updates through their app, and most of all listened and adapted to our needs throughout the build. The house was built to the same high standard and finishing we saw in their Show-homes. Being Master Builders, it was also very easy to follow-up with them to get tweaks and minor touch-ups sorted, even months after completion.

We built a house with Thomas Stein from Navigation Homes up on the Hibiscus Coast. It was a disaster from day one. He is really dishonest both as a person and the way the he runs his business. You cannot trust him at all. I wanted to leave this review on his own page but I can see that he has now closed his business down. I think that's probably best.

Navigation Homes is a franchise set up. We expected that if things went wrong with our local Navigation Homes company then the main NZ wide Navigation Homes company would step in and help. We were wrong to expect that.
We had huge problems with Thomas Stein at Navigation Home in Millwater. We asked Aaron Hall from the main company to help us resolve the problems but he told us that his hands were tied. That's not the response that you want from your builders. Better choose a national company that stands behind its local representatives. Thanks.

I don't write reviews but I was compelled to set up an account specifically to write a review about Navigation Homes. My sister in law chose Navigation Homes to build her house. Contracts were signed back in 2016 and things started - along with the problems. The original build time of 9 months was pushed out to over 2 years. She was made to pay more than the original fixed price, no rent compensation was offered and repeatedly threatened by Navigation Homes to pay invoices (even if not accurate) or they will down tools and walk. Then when her husband took this up with the Head Office and the Registered Master Builders, he was given the same treatment. These guys are all sharks - protecting each other from accountability. My advice, think twice about whether you want to use them because my sister is in pieces now. Thanks for reading.

I left a negative review about Navigation Homes in Millwater about 3 months ago and didn't ever get round to leaving one about the Main Office. When you run out of options with a franchisee (because of poor service, dishonesty and general mismanagement) you really should be able to rely on the franchisor to step in and help out. If you choose Navigation Homes, you cannot make the assumption. They will let you down. Building a house is massive thing and so you need to choose wisely. My suggestion is to choose one of the other guys.
