North Shore Glass Co. Ltd

We contacted North Shore Glass and paid a deposit for a broken window job. Explained that the window was high (about 5 m above ground) but that we had scaffolding on-site for painters and that would make the glasswork job easy. No follow up, no exact booking time and when we chased up still no time confirmed. Scaffolding now gone which turns the job from easy to a 2 person and $150 extra project. Declined job and asked for deposit back. It's Ok to be busy and it's Ok to tell people that you can't do the job, but to not tell us anything is poor - won't be back and won't recommend to anyone we know.

I've been using North Shore Glass for 25 years and have always found them top quality on all jobs.

The receptionist that I spoke to had poor customer service skills and spoke in a lethargic tone. I called them asking for a quote to get a window fixed and secured as a result of a home burglary. I receive a call later that day from the glazier stating that they are on their way - not to inspect/provide a quote but to fix the window? I was only given an hour's notice before their arrival.

Glaziers wouldn't provide a quote and kept telling me 'got to talk to the office girls' when I tried to get an estimate.

I get a call a few days later to provide contact details so that I could be sent the invoice - at this point I still do not know how much I'm required to pay. The lady I spoke to was clearly trying to dodge answering my questions and respond in a way that she could end the call asap eg. 'We'll send in the invoice in a few days ok thanks bye'

- Poor customer service and attitude from receptionist when booking a visit/quote
- Was not provided a quote when they arrived. I should also mention they sent two people?
- Person I spoke to a few days later was just trying to palm it off as another department's problem

I just wanted someone to advise me on the process with more than just an attempt to shrug it off as someone else's responsibility.

Great quick, professional service. Dropped off an old sash window for reglazing. It was ready for pick-up the next day.

Great service. Have had 7 windows replaced in wooden joinery. Great communication and perfect job. Nice friendly staff. Very easy from start to finish. Definitely recommend.

It was a pleasant experience with Gordon since the day he contacted me to fix my broken glass window. He was very friendly, honest and professional. Gordon's craft is a masterclass, he is passionate and very proud of his work. It shows through the quality of his work.

They even repaired my broken accent mirror for a very good price!

Don't Bother calling them
Said they could come in one week. Came and then no call back and then said two weeks time.
Meanwhile life goes on with out them as I don't do business with trades that couldn't orginise a beer in a brewery
This company need to think about being more professional

Don’t bother calling this business if you have an immediate need. We were quoted 5 weeks today for them to fix a client’s window on our behalf at Glenfield.

Awesome! I had a picture frame I wanted converted into a mirror - fantastic result and cheaper than they priced and we love it. Friendly and easy to deal with.

My son finally got his window fixed and at the end of the day that is the main thing. I have always assumed that when you greet someone the polite thing is to do the same thing in return? ! Guess not he was there to focus on doing a job stuff the pleasantries. Broken glass fixed and cleared away so job well done!
