My 12 year old boy comes home from NumberWorks with a smile on his face every time. He actually enjoys learning his Maths now and says it is fun. He has become confident in what he is doing and is now feeling more confident going into high school.

Our daughter started mid way through term 2 to help upskill her in maths. She is currently in year 8 and will be entering High School next year and we wanted to get her ready for that transition, by ensuring she is supported in her learning, particularly in maths where she struggles. We and her school have noted an improvement in her attitude towards her learning and the proud feeling she has when she succeeds at tasks and is rewarded with a certificate at NumberWorks is great to see. This is has been a great decision.

I am very happy with this tutoring centre. The facilities are welcoming and the dedication and attentiveness of staff are at an outstanding level. Even more, the children's individually tailored programs ensure steady and consistent progress. We see great results achieved by our children. They really enjoy attending classes and learning in an approachable and non-judgemental setting.

AMAZING! I took my son to number works and words in northwest as he has always struggled with literacy and maths his whole 5 years at school. When he started year 6 he really needed extra help. After only about 3 months of this fabulous programme he has moved up a maths level, and his writing at school has blown his teacher away. His teacher was so amazed and proud she rang me at 7pm one night and couldn’t stop raving about his progress. Her words were “whatever you are doing it is working” she is of course referring to number works!
The one on one that he gets at number works and the personally designed programme is just what he needed. They saw and responded to his learning style and he now finally understands maths concepts and of course there is more work to do but the confidence he has gained makes the learning so much easier and fluid.
His teacher has recognised his confidence and can see he walks into the class with a “I can do this” attitude.
At home I have noticed his reading is much better with fluency and he wants to read now before it was like pulling teeth! He even likes doing the number works homework!

I can’t rave enough about this, it is the best investment I think parents can make. I am incredibly thankful and will spread the word to everyone!

Our daughter started just over a year ago and the difference has been amazing.not only in her maths but in her self confidence and "inner voice". Shes gone from hating maths and believing she couldn't do it, to a confidant young girl who now is the 1st to call out her answers and know shes right. My daughters have both been through NumberWorks from early in their school journey through to Year 11 and have benefitted from it tremendously. The confidence that the NumberWorks programme instilled in my girls was great, but I feel the main factor that helped them with primary, intermediate and especially the challenge of NCEA Maths is mostly due to the encouragement and mentoring from Alison and Chelsea. They are amazing with all of their students and immediately get the trust of all that attend. My older daughter gained so much from it and enjoyed working with Chelsea and Alison so much that she became a tutor at NumberWorks herself. Best thing she ever did! I will always be thankful to both Alison and Chelsea for the confidence and knowledge that both my daughters have gained. NumberWorks NorthWest is fantastic and I would completely recommend it to any student from any age, no matter what their maths ability.

Excellent educators, this is a great service to improve or advance your child's maths and English, our son has gone from below average marks to getting merits and Excellents.
The tutors can relate well and connect with children so they can work through hurdles and obstacles and establish understanding.
