Unfortunately my experience was a waste of time.
I contacted the dealership twice over the phone, and I must say, the customer service wasn't very helpful. I had expressed my keen interest and willingness to make a two-hour drive to test drive one of their Mercedes Benz cars.

Upon my arrival at the dealership, I was met with an eerie silence – there was no one to greet me. I located the car I had seen online, which was touted as being in "pristine condition. " However, my initial impressions didnt give me that. The side mirror was cracked, the middle console laminate was broken, and there were noticeable stains on the seats. It was evident that the car wasn't in pristine condition. Nevertheless, I decided to proceed with a test drive.

As the car was being brought forward for the test drive, it became apparent that it had no fuel. Keep in mind that I had given the dealership a substantial 2.5 hours' notice of my visit to ensure everything was in order. To my surprise, they had not even bothered to ensure the car had enough fuel. The delay ensued as they had to fetch a gasoline can to fill it up.

My dissatisfaction continued as I hit the road for the test drive. I immediately noticed an unsettling noise coming from the rear wheel. After navigating a few corners, I grew increasingly uncomfortable with how the car was handling. I asked my friend, who was with me, to inspect the back wheels as I drove slowly. To our astonishment, the back wheel either seemed severely bent or had not been securely fastened, resulting in a noticeable wobble.

At this point, I felt it was the safest course of action to contact the dealership and request assistance or inspection. The dealership simply instructed me to drive the car back slowly, without any intention of sending someone to examine the issue or address my concerns. Upon my return to the dealership, there was no effort made by the staff to check on me or the vehicle.

In the end, I had no choice but to walk away from this ordeal utterly disappointed.

I don't often write reviews, but after reading all the other bad reviews I thought it be necessary so that other people don't fall in the same trap when driving from far away.

Bought 2021 MG Zs Excite at $21,500 vehicle at Papatoetoe branch.realize that none of the car floor matt has been supplied.assumed missed out when they groomed the vehicle.asking for those more 10-time calls, text, end up the manager named Mathew said we don't supply the matt for 2nd vehicle.this is just a basic accessory that should be in the vehicle.it's not about floor matt, it's about how to communicate. Don't pay the money upfront.once they received the money there was no more support from these guys
very hard to communicate with and frustrating to chase.waste my time.now I regret doing business with them. NEVER AGAIN

I applied for a new vehicle but got declined. He was very helpful in trying to help me. But also gave me very good advice on how to fix my credit and told me to reapply in 3 months and try to get my defaults down.
Highly recommend this company. They will go out of there way to help you as much as they can

Ethan at Pearce Brothers in Manukau was fantastic to work with for my new car. Easy going, friendly but not pushy, transparent on pricing with my trade in, and polite and helpful. Made the sale super smooth. I recommend him and Pearce Brothers highly.

Terrible, just terrible, bought a Nissan Tiida 2005 CVT in April 2022 from Manurewa, noted the whining and thought it was normal, by December 2022 the transmission had gone, went back and got told "It's well out of the 3 month warranty period, nothing we can do" now I have a car in my driveway I'm still paying finance for but can't use. I got told bad stories about Pearce Brothers and decided to put my faith in them anyway, never again. Do not recommend.

SALE PROCESS REVIEW: Sylas King made the sales process flawless for us. His empathy and understanding made the process so easy. Great banter and professional manner. Pearce brothers has been the most shocking car dealership we have ever dealt with, cannot fault Silas though. The sale went well as expected.
We purchased the Amarok six months ago. Over 30k later.
Not even a week into owning the car and the engine light came on. Few emails later and the car goes in to be checked. You could also hear water in the door panels. Which we had to drain ourselves.
We get it back and it runs semi smooth for about a month.
The car then started "breaking down" while driving. This is when we contacted Pearce brothers again to sort it out.
Olyas attitude was unacceptable. Her customer care is non existent. And literally told us to try our best with motor association. And she's refusing to help.
We put a review up and only then they started jumping around.
With me being in trades I couldn't work. I was lent an sedan.old vehicle that still couldn't do what I needed it to.
I was unable to work for over 4 weeks. This was starting to affect my income and my family.
The vehicle then came back and within 24 hours engine light back on and same thing happening.
This time I demanded a Ute so I could at least work.
Olya again had major attitude and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. And basically told me to do what I needed to as they not willing to help

Eventually after getting other people involved. They took the amarok to try be repaired for a 4th time. And loaned me a Ute.
I get the amarok back yesterday 24th February (6 months afer purchase) and what do you know. Engine light back on for 5th time.
I have asked for a trade in and they are refusing.
As far as u am concerned I have been cheated into buying a car with major issues. And now it's basically my problem?

Olya has been so rude and unacommodating that she really shouldn't be in this business dealing with customers.

We get an extremely rude email stating the loan car needs to be returned asap.
Even though the vehicle we bought is off the road STILL.

I definitely plan on taking this further. Being new in the country I feel that they think we will just accept Being treated this way.
Do not buy a second hand car from this company. Unless you want to loose sleep, money, work and time!

Yep these guys are the definition of shady used car salesmen. They sold me a total lemon, cost me thousands including stress, depression and grief. When I called to seek their help they said there was nothing they could do because they have hired new (not shady) staff now. What a joke

Rang Mark, the sales manager, about a vehicle, I was not in a position to see it physically, he assured me it was a great car. Organized the finance and delivered the car within 2 days. The car was more than expected, Mark had excellent communication and was always available, honest, awesome service. Especially in the week before Christmas, great Company.

Long story short: They sold me a lemon in 2021, denied any knowledge that it had been in an accident and repaired. Only found out the real extent of the damage when I had Toyota try and fix an issue for me this year, where the car just stopped while moving. It was pretty bad. Sold it at a loss! Can’t trust their sales team or recommend them at all. Their mediation team is rubbish, didn’t even respond to my complaint!

Just bought a 2012 Freelander 2 off Sylas. He was very friendly and helpful while looking for cars. It’s a very anxious thing buying a used car in a foreign country but Sylas put my concerns at ease. 10/10 would recommend.

My partner and I sent 4 enquiries to the Pearce Brothers Manurewa branch over the weekend, telling them I was very interested in a Audi they had for sale ‘Not one was answered’, so I called Rion Saturday late afternoon and let him know I was a cash buyer, he said he would check to see if the car was still available and get back to me on whether there was room to negotiate. No one called back. This morning I called the branch and I think I spoke with Leata, she checked and said the car was still available, I told her I was a cash buyer and would there be room for negotiation, she asked if I was going to take out mechanical warranty insurance, I said no that my partner has all our insurances under NZI Police Insurance. She said I don’t know if we can do the deal or negotiate if that insurance is not taken out and that she would talk to the sales manager and call us back. 3;25 pm no call back. I called Richard Nimmo, who I filled in what was happening, and I had been waiting to book a bus from Rotorua to Auckland, he said no don’t do that yet, and then he said no sorry we sold that car dependant on finance, My partner who was sitting next to me told Richard we were told this morning that the car was still available and after she talked to the sales manager we would get a call. My partner said to Richard that’s hardly fair, we have been waiting all weekend for a call back, Richard said to her yes that’s fair, my partner said your being rude, we have been waiting most of the weekend on this car, to which he abruptly said ‘well I’m going home’ and hung up in her ear. Feel so let down, is it because we were cash buyers and not taking out finance and insurances, at the end of the day it should be first in first served, which many dealers have written on their websites? Richard you really need to go and do a customer service course, you spoke so rudely to my partner and hung up in her ear. ‘Pearce Brothers what a let down’

Customer service was alright.
Travelled from North Shore to Manurewa with my wife and children as we’re interested on a particular SUV that was advertised on TradeMe, Mazda 7 (2011) Turbo and whilst waiting for the finance to be approved overnight with their bad faith they sold it to someone else without advising my family during the process - finance came through but not interested on it anymore; that’s a red flag to anyone and would rather find/purchase a car from other dealers that never undermine their customers.
