Thanks to Jimmy and his crew for getting my car back on the road! First mechanic I’ve met who actually explains and tells the problems with my car, will be going back for sure:)

Car problems are never fun, but thankfully Joe and co made the painful process of diagnosing transmission issues more tolerable. Going above and beyond with their service, Pitstop Manukau is now my new go-to. Cheers team.

24/06 Update: I contacted pit stop 10 days ago and have yet to hear back.

I recently took my car into Manukau Pit stop, as it was making an odd noise.
I was told it was the tensioner pulley in my car and my rotors were rusty. I was charged $670.00 for them to buff the rust off my rotors and replace the tensioner pulley.

Upon driving my car home that evening there was a loud rattling noise that was not there prior to dropping my car off.
I called Pit stop in the morning and asked to drop my car back off as it was now making a worse sound then before and seemed to be coming from the piece that they replaced. I didn't receive great attitude, in fact they were a bit rude about it.

They took the whole day to get back to me, to which they advised that it in fact was not the tensioner pulley or the belt and that it was coming from the water pump, which would need replacing.

I requested them not to do any work on my car, as Id take it to another mechanic for an evaluation, as I was unsure the water pump was the cause, as the sound was coming from the tensioner pulley / tensioner belt.

The next mechanic has advised me that the rattling sound was coming from the tensioner belt, which would need replacing, along with the tensioner pulley that Pit stop had replaced.

Im really not happy with the service I have received, as I now have to pay extra to have the same piece that pit stop 'fixed' replaced, as well as being provided with incorrect advice that my water pump needed changing, when it is in fact fine.

First time doing wof and service and repairs! They were good and had good service took them 2 days to fix 2 wheel racks fix door Handel for front door and window wipers breaks and that’s all I know of. Everything’s good the cars fully serviced but our oils leaking after rear lights still out too so if you could please give some advice to what to do?

Awesome car servicing. Very friendly and helpful man at the counter. Gave me a lot of tips on how to better take of my car. Will definitely come back for my next service. Excellent schedule as well coz not a lot open on Saturdays. Great for people like me who works on the weekdays.

Straight to the point no muck around, honest people fair prices, if you are getting turned away from other mechanics or given overpriced service, I recommend coming seeing these guys, friendly custom service and great team of mechanics

Tried to charge me 2.5 grand for an oil leak coming from the sump and the rocker cover i ran my finger across the rocker cover and there was nothing they said they had cleaned yet there was still more grime than ever come off after checking the sump he then said that are gonna have to take the entire motor out of the car to get to sump when i could just take it off myself or just drop the subframe it’s a bit ridiculous what they have said and there attitude towards me

Poor work, had them do A resonator delete on my golf. #1 the welds looked like a first timer did it and #2 the pipes weren’t even the same size. Shouldn’t be accepting jobs if quality is poor. Absolutely embarrassing work. Only found out how it looked when I had to do A catless downpipe with An euro company and had to message me and send me A photo of what it looked like. Made work for them 3x longer

Our regular place for car servicing. All good plus front brakes replaced. Great service from Jimmy and the team.

Not good, calling on land no answer, went there to get a quote for general service for transit they said, we will get back, two weeks now still waiting,

Called to make an enquiry about a promotion shown online. Was answered by a snappy rude receptionist. Asked him about the promotion “we don’t do that” confused I asked sorry is this pit stop “yes we don’t do that here”. Was wanting the free WOF with a service package. I then asked how much was it for a service & his response “well how am I suppose to give you a price if I don’t know what car you got” told him the car, didn’t ask for rego nothing just gave a price then hung up. I decided to call another Pit Stop branch and they were very friendly and told me that yes the promotion is now on at all PitStops and gave me a completely different price.

Overpriced! Do your research before you get a quote from this place. Recommend Greenlane Branch just fyi
